I am a big fan and regularly use this for our business. I prefer the i5 over the i3 but as long as you know how much power you need these are great devices.

This was a Christmas gift and 6 months later it isn’t working. Won’t turn on! Logo comes up and then goes to a black screen immediately. Common problem; and there are several videos on how to fix, but even more videos and Microsoft chats that end in “sorry there is nothing else we can do”.

This surface satisfied my need for a mobile office perfectly. I needed a Windows-based tablet with long battery life, USB, camera, speakers, keyboard, and native support for an external CAC reader. Setup and configuration was a breeze out of the box. It took a few minutes to apply system updates but nothing I really had to do to get up and running except connecting to wifi and logging in with my MS account. The display is crisp and I'm able to transport the surface in a leather zip binder thanks to the compact size of the device. Performance is great, I primarily use cloud-based software and this surface has plenty of compute, memory, and storage to perform typical office productivity tasks. This is my first surface and I would choose it again over a laptop for my use case.

Great portable with excellent battery life and productivity performance.
As a mid level jump into the Surface lineup this works exceptionally well. I wish it had 16GB of memory and still don't understand why it cost so much more, when ram is extremely cheap. Otherwise the i3 processor is more than sufficient, battery life does get you nearly all day if on websites, email, research, etc.
The display is great however, picking a lower resolution if you don't like to use scaling only leaves you with a select few choices.
My hands always hurt using the touchpad. It is rather small and if on a desk, the keyboard defaults to an angle where you have to bend your wrist more to use it. It's far more comfortable laying the keyboard flat on a desk.
As a tablet, as long as the sizing on the screen is large enough, it works well. Windows Hello unlocks with your face very fast. It's better than anyone else's implementation that I've used.
The only downside is, I like playing older RTS games, the biggest one being Age of Empires 2 DE. It cannot run the game without crashing. Some other games work fine while others simply crash. Granted this isn't a gaming device but, if you expect it to run games its meets the minimum requirements for, you may find yourself disappointed. For me it's a deal breaker.
Otherwise, its an excellent device, great to have a USB A to connect a mouse easily.
The only drawbacks here really are mousepad size and casual game compatibility. Everything else is excellent for the price.

I've been using the Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ for almost a month now, and I'm absolutely in love with it. It's the perfect device for my needs, as it's both powerful and portable.
I use my Surface Pro 7+ for everything from work to school to personal use. It's great for taking notes in class, writing papers, creating presentations, and even doing some light gaming. I've also used it to watch movies and TV shows, listen to music, and browse the web.
The Surface Pro 7+ is very fast and responsive, even when I'm running multiple applications at the same time. It also has a long battery life, which is important to me since I'm often on the go.
I also love the versatility of the Surface Pro 7+. It can be used as a laptop, tablet, or even a digital canvas. I've used it to sketch and draw, and I've even used it to take handwritten notes.
Overall, I'm incredibly happy with my Microsoft Surface Pro 7+. It's the perfect device for anyone who needs a powerful and portable device that can do it all.

I can't say I got a full year of use out of this before I started to notice that when it was charging after working unplugged, it gets concerningly hot. To the point that I have tried opening it and having a fan blowing over it to try and limit how hot it gets. It doesn't work. That aside, it's incredibly handy and has a long working battery still. It never could register the Wacom Bamboo stylus purchased with it, that it's supposed to be compatible with, but otherwise, it's a good buy for students and those who don't need to store a lot of things on the harddrive. I would suggest a Samsung external as they come with a USB-C to USB-C cable that makes for faster transfer and it's small enough to tuck into a case together. Would absolutely recommend unless you need a bigger keyboard. You COULD get a wireless and a splitter for morphe dongles, but that may not be practical for some. Can't speak to use beyond document generating, but the screen resolution is great.

I LOVE IT !!!!

I needed a new laptop (BAD) ! I was just shopping around the computer section……and saw my little beauty …..i did my homework on this model , and I was impressed. I don’t need it for a LOT of things, just running my Cricut machine, email, Pinterest, etc…. It has tons of memory, and very versatile…I can use it as a laptop or use it as a tablet…! Ok now for the cons …… I learned that when you have to use it as a laptop, you have to use the kickstand or you have to you fold the keyboard under it , but then you have to use it as a touch screen. The only problem with that is…. When you do that the keyboard is faced down…! One day I slide it across my coffee table and one of my keys got snagged and it popped off . Not a huge deal, but now I need a little repair… OVER ALL IT’S A GREAT PRODUCT….! Oh and I learned when I returned home that the stylus pin was NOT INCLUDED….! If this is the only problem that I have, then I think it’s a WINNER!

The computer I recently purchased has been a game-changer. Its sleek design and powerful processing capabilities make it a top-notch device. The high-resolution display provides stunning visuals, and the keyboard is comfortable to type on for extended periods. The computer boots up quickly and runs smoothly, allowing me to multitask effortlessly. The storage capacity is ample, allowing me to store all my files and applications without any issues. The battery life is impressive, lasting for hours on end without needing to be charged. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my new computer and would highly recommend it to others in need of a reliable and efficient device.

I needed a laptop for school, using Microsoft Office looking up stuff on the internet. It is small and compact. The keyboard is handy for typing. I also like that you can use it in tablet mode. I was very weary of getting a surface with only an i3 but for what I'm using it for it has done everything I needed. The battery last decent too. Well over 3 hours constant use.

Surface Pro 7+ is a solid performer with a removeable keyboard that makes a nice tablet. But I returned this unit for a Surface Go 3 laptop for the following reasons. 1) The display was too bright and despite my attempts to correct it, nothing worked. 2) The stand only allows you to have one angle for viewing as opposed to a laptop where you can set any angle you want.
I would recommend this item to anyone who wants a tablet and a laptop.

Bought this for my 11-year-old son for school. He likes that it's lightweight and easy to just slip into his backpack. Battery life is great and holds its charge through multiple classes. He loves the convenience and the portability. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a simple, lightweight alternative to a full-sized laptop.
