very quiet , large capacity , Clothes come out DRY , uses less electric , now have extra space ( no sperate dryer , or vent) plugs in 120VAC , operation time about the same as washer and dryer combined . I would highly recommend this ( I worked on appliances 27 years ) It is extremely heavy , but they delivered , and that was also great

After an initial snag with the first washer dryer combo, on the third try I received my fully functional unit. I love it!!! Drying time can be a little long with heavy loads, but my clothes come out clean and smelling wonderful. I am very happy with this purchase.

Have had it for about a month and really no big issues. Had to add whites load option to the interface but that was easy with the ThinQ app. Recommend smaller loads as bigger loads will take hours to complete. Great for smaller households. Also do not recommend for families who do a lot of laundry as it will take anywhere from 1.5 hours for a small pad to 3+ hours for larger loads and you’d be tying up a washer and dryer during that time instead of having multiple loads going at once.

We did purchase this and after 2 days had an issue with the cleaning vent on the top . It would not come out. Contacted Best Buy and the return and replacement was effortless. Review: 1. This is excellent machine for washing any type of load. 2. Drying , this is excellent machine for drying. As Homeowner, 1. This is a good addition, but I would not have this alone in the laundry room. The reason is at some point you are going to have different clothes , and sized loads and having multiple people with laundry needs will not be resolved with this machine alone. Example: You are not going to wash and dry 7 pairs pants in under 2.5 hours or King size blanket. Not going to happen and the more clothes you have for more people the less of benefit this becomes alone. Conclusion: We have this and am happy with the purchase. We have just ordered an LG dryer also. So if needed we can dry in another machine for different types of loads. In my opinion if you don’t have the space or are single then this checks all the boxes, but if you homeowner and have more than 2+ people in the home then this is good fit with a dryer also. It’s all about the long term next 12- 15 year’s .

Overall, I really like the washer/dryer combo. It does get rather loud when drying though, I'm not sure if that's normal or not. Sometimes drying does take a little longer if you have a heavy load. The convenience of not having to switch laundry and the reminder messages to my phones are great.

Pet Hair Causes a Massive & Messy Drainage Issue

    |

Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

If you have pets, do not buy this all in one LG. The ventless system causes the hair to get all over the drain around rubber gasket of the door. I had to take a wash rag and a paper towel to clean the gasket after every single wash. I also had to remove the drainage filter on the bottom left hand side each time that I finished a load. Let me tell you that it was gross getting a palm size load of hair out of the machine. If you do forget to do this once you will get a drainage error message. To fix this problem, you need to get a shallow baking pan and unplug a small rubber hose. There is a ton of water to drain, so this means emptying the pan 3-4 times, so you are pretty much stuck watching this machine drain slow as a snail. If you don't, you will probably make an even bigger mess like I did. Water ended up all over the floor. At first I loved this machine. It does take forever, and it routinely has been 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours, but not changing the laudry over was nice. It took a lot of the hair off of the clothes, but the machine having a drainage issue all the time is a deal breaker. I cannot spend that much time and energy cleaning a machine just to use it.

Hi there, Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention. I'm truly sorry to hear about the struggles you've been facing with your LG all-in-one machine. It sounds like it's been a very frustrating experience, especially with the ventless system causing hair to clog the drain and gasket. Having to clean the gasket and drainage filter after every wash must be tiring. Dealing with a drainage error and having to manually drain the water multiple times just adds more inconvenience. It's disappointing to hear that a machine you initially liked has turned into such a hassle to maintain. Your frustration and disappointment are completely understandable. Please reach out to us on social media @LGUSSupport so we can help you further. ^Cris LG

Great washer, but dryer leaves a lot to be desired

I've had this unit for about a year now. It washes really well—no complaints there. But the drying process is extremely slow, even for small loads. It’s not uncommon for a cycle to take several hours, which defeats the convenience of an all-in-one setup. There’s also a small but persistent drip underneath the machine, likely due to condensation buildup from the ventless dryer. Not a huge leak, but definitely something to watch out for. Another issue: lint doesn’t collect well and seems to go right through the washer drain. That’s created a much higher risk of clogs in my plumbing, meaning I’ve had to be more proactive about clearing the drains than I was with traditional machines. Overall, it's a sleek, space-saving option with great washing power—but be prepared for high maintenance and long drying times.

Awesome Washer and Dryer in One unit!

This WashCombo is definitely a leap in the laundry sphere. It is a spacious washer to accommodate your needs from a King size duvet to a load full of all kinds of clothes. It is able to determine the load weight and the degree of soil and adjust the water to wash everything properly. This is an awesome appliance that will allow you to load it and not worry about transferring it to a dryer as it will take care of drying in the same unit. It doesn't require 240V and can be plugged in to any 120V outlet. No more need to vent it either! It does a good job drying and just don't overstuff it so it has enough of space to distribute the heat inside the drum. I really like the detergent dispenser, no more need to guess the amounts of detergent, this WashCombo will do it for, and you can adjust it even more if you want to in the ThinQ app. I really like using this WashCombo and highly recommend it to any family out there.

I wasn't sold on buying one of the combo washer/dryer units, but i was very impressed with the first couple of loads .... especially the drying stage. Did a load of king sheets and another of bath sheets. Both are always hard to dry become they "ball up" and the items in the center of the ball are always damp and require more drying. NOT WITH THIS MACHINE. when it said DONE, it really meant it! EVERYTHING was completely dry, including the items in the middle of the ball!!!

Firstly I bought this product open box, it had a very slow washing and drying time of over 4 hours or more. It didn't matter if it was an AI wash and dry cycle or any of the other wash and dry cycles. I ended up being in contact with LG and Best buy troubleshooting it for days on end with the conclusion being it was a faulty machine that needed to go back to the manufacturer. I used this in my apartment and had nothing but a headache with it. I had it a little under 2 months and I'm so thankful to be able to return it! My suggestion to all get best buy plus membership which allows for 30 additional days to return items in and the warranty. Both paid off this time by being able to walk away from this machine without owing anything to best buy. Also be sure to drain your machine regularly (at least once a week), check the lint trap after every load, wipe the seal on the door with a cloth between the wash and dry cycles. Even with all of these preventative care measures there's no guarantee that you'll have a washer/dryer combo that can complete a load of laundry in the manufacturer's recommended amount of time of approximately 2 hours according to the user manual.

    Unnecessary Annoyances

This washer does its job well enough but I gave it a 4 star review instead of a 5 because it seems to confirm my feeling that pretty much everything in modern life is designed or manufactured by 4 year-olds in the Far East who don't use the product. Specifically, it washes and dries the clothes, which is its job. On the positive side there is practically no vibration, which is always a concern with from loaders. The negatives are minor but they are also totally unnecessary. First, why not an option for a white color? Second, why is the door viewer black? It seems intuitive that the interior should be visible. Why is the Fresh Care default Off? Also, Fresh Care can't be set to default to On, it has to be set to On for each load. Additionally, why can't I set the unit to skip the warnings about detergent being absent and to clean the lint basket. I use detergent sheets and know to clean lint every time I use the unit. Finally, why are there no Low Heat and No Heat options on the dryer aspect. These are things which anyone who has washed (and dried) a few wash loads would know. Despite the annoyances, I am keeping the unit because I can start it before going to work and come home to a finished laundry load. However, perhaps LG should open a design and manufacturing facility in the United States.

So far I am pleased with this machine. I previously owned separate washer and dryer. I have a small laundry room so this fits nicely. One thing though I have noticed is in the permanent press cycle I do get wrinkles on my husbands dress shirts that are supposed to be wrinkle free. I did not have this problem with my previous dryer. I have had this washer for about 2 months. Overall that is why I rated it only good.

The All in one is not quite ready for the market! I first had the GE "twice" it was a problem and sent it back, then tried the LG which was recommended to me by Pacific Sales rep. This is the second one the first purchase lint box stuck in place and we ordered a replacement. The replacement has been in our home about a month, the first few days our clothes came out wet!! We have one setting we now use for everything "it takes time to figure out the many available settings" WAY TOO MUCH WORK!! finally though the one setting is working ok, BUT once in a while it keeps drying past the normal dry time and the machine gets hot and needs to be shut down, so I am afraid to leave it on while I am out. To me they are great but it takes a long time to wash and dry and then babysit the machine. Also they do not take a large load or large comforters. For 3 grand if I had a better way to vent the normal machines I would stay with them many times over!

Marginally a little slower than your traditional separate wash and dry machine, but when you consider the amount of times you forget to throw your clothes from one side to the other, it often comes out more beneficial and forgiving on your forgetfulness. It’s nice being able to start a load right before sleeping and waking up to already dried clothes. I don’t think I can go back to regular separate machines. If anything, I’d rather have 2 of these next to each other for redundancy. But since it’s a newer concept than your traditional sets, it wouldn’t hurt to throw extra warranty on it. Just in case.

I was very skeptical about buying this for several reasons not fond of front load, the fact that it is just a 120 out not 220 and reviews about the drying. After now using it for about a month and figuring out all the bells and whistles i really like it. Yes it takes a little longer to dry things like towels and bedding but it took longer with regular dryer. The heat is not has hot so when you take clothes out of it you might not think that they are dry but they are. I think also because the heat is not as hot as in regular dryer the clothes will last longer. I would highly recommend. It is nice to just put a load in and walk away. I did also download the Think IQ app which lets you know when the load is done.
