    Wonderful tribute to Nellie Bly.

Nellie Bly was an infectiously likable person which was very well displayed in this film. A very very young woman coming of age in the 1880's is blessed with an enthusiasm for journalism and helping people. Joseph Pulitzer hires her as a reporter. Her assignment is to go undercover in an isolated mental institution to report on the treatment of the patients. Nellie Bly's experiences are well documented and this film is faithful to the real-life experiences. I appreciated the care the film took to establish the ornate world more wealthy world Nellie Bly lives in, which then contrasted harshly with the stark, frightening world of the mental institution.
