I'm actually not that impressed with the deal on this.
First, its $180 and comes with 1 2 way remote, and 1 1 way remote?? why not come with 2 2 way remotes? its an upgrade right? so i would want to upgrade both remotes...
second, it has a sliding battery door for an AAA battery. guess whats the first thing to break if you drop this remote(which you will, its a known fact that gravity has a nasty effect on keys and key fobs)
third, the range inst that great. its better than the stock ones that come with the system, but those were mostly "line of sight" remotes. don't believe the "up to 1 mile" as advertised. i hate it when things are advertised like that... give me a realistic range and i would be happier.
Fourth, why do i have 2 worthless remotes sitting in my kitchen drawer?? installing/upgrading to this remote deactivated the remotes that came with the system?
fifth, why not sell the system with no remotes, and let me choose which ones you want to get for it when buying the system... save me the cost of the original remotes, and let me use that towards the upgraded remote.
