I haven't really gotten to use this. I did contact their live online assistant people and really didn't get much help. I was told to bring in the defected product back to the store.
I do know that when I came in to the store, everybody and they mama was trying to see the Geek Squad and yea, they were super busy.

I am a college student so it is very important for me to have my computer. After cracking my laptop screen, I took it into BestBuy over Christmas break to get repaired because I knew it was going to take some time. When I received my laptop it was working great and then a week later it would not turn on due to a bad motherboard, so I was forced to ship it off to get fixed again. When receiving it back, the issue was not resolved and it had to be sent off again. I was not happy at all due to me having classes. After the third time receiving my laptop, everything was working until a few days later when it decided to not hold a charge. Around this time it was finals week and best buy told me they were going to have to ship my laptop off again. I was very furious and the lady helping me at geek squad was being very rude and yelled at me so I left with my broken laptop and found the email of the CEO of BestBuy online and sent him an email. He helped me out and told me he talked to the last bestbuy I went to and that he will just give me a brand new computer in exchange for my old one. It took months to get everything resolved. so if you have any issues with your bestbuy, email the CEO!

havent used them since i bought an hp envy a few years back. i kept having to pull the battery to get it to start soon as i got it home. the associate i spoke with told me, well sometimes you just have to do that. not on a $1000+ computer... so i exchanged for a lenovo thinkpad, works great to this day

I have been using Geek Squad extended protection for quite a number of years. Especially with one teenager still at home. When I have needed service the Geek Squad staff is both friendly and very knowledgeable. They are an important part of my purchase peace of mind.

Several days after purchase, when anyone would have already setup their PC, Geek Squad sends out a notice that they will assist with setup... worthless by this point, it should have been stated right away. I was also told several days after purchase that 'had I' placed security software in the shopping cart at the same time as the purchase of this Geek Squad Plus subscription, it would have been free. But, since this wasn't even mentioned, now I get nothing.
