This is a must have for Solo owners. The pack is well made and will hold up after regular use. The pack has room for everything, Solo, remote, x-props, 4 batteries, charger and xta room for odds and ends. The top inner section has 1 big zipper pocket great for your tablet, sunshade and even more stuff. there's a smaller pocket below that that holds my gopro and extra batteries and lenses filters. The pack is very comfortable to hike with or just transport it, it will fit in the over head storage in air planes.

Added this and it was a game changer - much easier to pack and carry my drone now - holds drone, controller, 4 extra batteries, charger, extra props, GoPro & extra batteries and charger, camera filters, even room for a log book and extra iPad battery pack
Solo Drone with extended feet and gimbal fit in place without an issue - however props do need to be removed. I find the controller to be a little snug but not excessive and it has its own tie down / Velcro.
This was very well thought out and made, and is even comfortable to wear - get one !!
I use mine for both transport and for storage

Notable trip was taking solo snowshoeing. The pack is rather big (since it needs to carry everything and have good support for solo) however it is rather light and very comfortable to wear. Didn't hike super far with it, however did hike up a very steep mountain and I have no complaints. Compartments hold multiple batteries, chargers, extra props, and a few tools I find handy to bring along (screwdriver, wind gauge, etc.). I would recommend this for carrying solo around in light-moderate rain, however would get a hard case if you plan on hiking the amazon rain forest or climbing mount everest.

While you could use the packaging to transport your solo, it's not exactly practical if you're shooting in remote locations. The quality of the backpack is solid, the fit of the components into the backpack was well done. One trick I learned watching online videos was to modify the packaging for the 'blades' and fit them into the bottom of the backpack. Doing this will keep your blades from shaking around loosely. I haven't seen the "travel" case on BestBuy.com yet, but am looking for that (I've only seen it on a video from a tradeshow).

The foam layout is very thoughtful and seems pretty durable. There are 4 dedicated battery slots, but you could fit 8 batteries (7 batteries + 1 on the Solo) if you didn't use up the other slots for other items. I chose this over a hardcase as it is more portable, especially in the outdoors. If you want to get a rain cover for it the bag is about 40 liters.

It fits the drone, 5 batteries, controller, tablet, chargers, and several sets of spare props. It's got padded backpack straps and back padding and is comfortable to wear. It's not overly large for a back pack, not unusually heavy, and easily fits under airplane seats or in overhead bins.
Props have to be removed from drone prior to storing.
Has padded feet on the back and is designed so that the back of the backpack sits on the ground when packing or unpacking. This means you aren't getting dirt on the side that is against your clothes while wearing it.
The unusual aspect is that the zippered opening runs along the bottom of the backpack. The only reason I can conclude for this is to keep any opening facing downward while wearing, to provide better protection from rain. If the opening had been designed at the top, it would have been possible to pack/unpack while someone was wearing the backpack.

This bag is the best way to travel with the drone. The drone comes with a little box from 3DR that works if you don't want to shell out the money, but this backpack comes equipped to hold the batteries, props, iPad, controller, and other items comfortably. It is way easier to lug this around than worry about messing up the box it came in. The bag is sturdy.

Product is great in quality and fitment, thought that it was a little smaller by the pictures, and as I got it from the box noticed it,s huge. I hope it complies airline carry on baggage dimensions, since I would not like to check it in when traveling

This backpack is great in terms of protection for your helicopter drone. It features a polypropylene-type of foam on the interior that will nit break upon impact with the floor or any hard sufraces. Unlike standard Styrofoam that can break instantly this interior will definatlly protect your investment for a long time.
Also, the interior features cut-outs for your blades and batteries and your controller is is also great.
The alternative purpose, in which I use it for, is to transport my DJ gear in it, and because the shoulder straps are heavy duty, it can hold carry a Laptop, a 1200 watt amplifier and a DJ controller stacked on top of each other. There are plenty of interior pockets as well, so I put my cables in there as. Great for a mobile DJ such as myself.

This backpack is very well made. This works really well for the Solo drone. I use it to hike with my drone. I've also taken it on planes and traveled internationally with it and it protects the drone perfectly and provides plenty of extra storage for extra batteries and chargers. This backpack is the best way I have found to carry the Solo, and all needed parts out to where we are flying.

The solo box could be used as a temporary case but if you are dropping 1,000 plus on a drone 150 for a durable case seems logical. Used it for a flight to Denver and fit nicely in the overhead bin.
Only downfall, no dedicated spot for the GoPro. There is room but no dedicated spot.
Lightweight and comfortable.

3DR does not skimp on quality. It's an intelligent design, sturdy, lightweight way to carry this awesome drone. I was worried about having to put propellers on and off every time to fit it in the case, but it's such a no brainer to do it, it really doesn't slow you down. The backpack was about $17.00 less expensive on amazon, but BB pricematches now, so all is right with the world...

If you own a 3DR Solo this backpack is a must have. Since it is made by 3DR everything fits perfectly plus they give you a lot of additional options to pack a tablet, gopro, etc. The thing that sticks out the most with this backpack is the attention to detail 3DR put into designing and constructing everything from the molding to the zippers even.

I bought this backpack as a $49 black Friday special as a package deal with the 3DR solo drone. It is good for the price, and does keep things inside organized. It has a spot for nearly every part and spare part to the drone. The inside is well constructed, and dense styrofoam keeps everthing protected. The outside however seems kind of cheap. The straps seem flimsy and narrow, though i do like the grab handles on it. I think its an over all good and small investment to protect an expensive toy.

Most cases are like a penguin case. Having a backpack was helpful when I hiked along the beach, and trails. Seems to fit all the accessories very well. No plan for charging cords but I found a way to scrunch them in.

Great backpack! Everything fits really well and doesn't move around. I took the solo backpack with me on a motorcycle ride the other day. Had it on my back for 4-5 hours. Got to my destination, unpacked and set up in under a minute and the bird flew like a champ! This backpack is a must have for the convienece and protection it offers.
