I haven't needed to use this particular plan yet and hope to not have that experience, but appreciate the security and peace of mind having it provides. With other items in the past I have used Geek Squad service through purchased protection plans and it was excellent. Quick service and you are back to enjoying your product.

There is great value in purchasing a BestBuy Geek Squad 4-Year Protection Plan for my recently purchased Onkyo 6-Disc CD player. It's nice to have peace of mind knowing that if something does go wrong with the product, BestBuy will be there to help to get it fixed right.

There was no doubt... Anything electronic - needs protection. Inevitably, when the manufacturer's warrantee experience, things go out. I think that most companies use products to manufacturer things now (using cheaper materials) that actually have a shorter shelf and functional life. Like replacing metal gears with plastic, or lesser grades of wires, etc. For the price, this is the lesser of two costs, and no hassles and long phone calls with some frustrating system. They simply replace it. Done!

This receiver puts out more than enough power! Plenty of side features. I paired this with the Klipsch HT-50 Surround speakers and the sound is amazing! Whether you choose 5.1 option or 7.1 this receiver has you covered.

Purchased headphones for my hearing challenged elderly Mother & added extended warranty. At the time they were easy to connect through our cable box. 2 years later we no longer have a cable box & even with an adapter (samsung tv’s only have optical style for audio out) I was unable to get them to work. I took them in to be checked to see if they were broken or the adapter wasn’t working properly OR if it was operator error. The Geek squad member I met for my appointment wouldn’t even bother with them. He basically said they were really old (2 years) & he doubted he even had a way to check them. Best he could do was a partial refund. His demeanor was as if I was wasting his extremely valuable time! I felt as if I really had no choice. I took the pitiful refund & asked where the headphones was located to look for a new pair. He directed me to the farthest (completely across the store) opposite corner. I asked were there similar headphones that might work. He looked at me as if that was the last straw for his patience, and replied, “find someone out onnthe floor & ask them.” Wow!
