My 12 year old loves this tv. It was on sale and it was totally worth every penny. I feel as if the picture quality could be a little better but for the kids / teenaged or even collage student this would be an excellent choice. Only have had this for a month so it really hard to give it a true rating, I would consider buying this again if it was offered.

Very sharp picture. Was a bit hard to program the proper channels in to the set. Some features on remote are difficult. Can'the toggle fro. One channel to another.....have to scroll through all channels....such as can't flip from channel 2 to 43...have to go through all 41 channels between

This was the perfect size for the room for which it was needed. The picture quality is clear and/or crisp. I got a GREAT deal on it as well, which is always a good thing!! The ease of use is another reason to own this TV!! I am more than happy with my purchase!

This is the Third insignia I've bought they do an awesome job and don't break you.

I wanted a tv for my small bedroom I mostly stay in. When I was shopping, I knew my eventual purchase had to be a smart tv. And it had to be more than 40" and closer to 50 so I don't have to wear my glasses. After researching the different types of smart tv's available I decided it also had to be a Roku tv. And I wanted value so I waited for the sale. About the tv. I'm a newbie to Roku but I love it. The simplicity of the remote is awesome and I also got the app. But only to use when I need to type in the search box. There is so much available on Roku that I rarely even watch "antenna" tv any longer. I cut the chord years ago. Roku is awesome. I have had no problem with the internet connectivity. It is easy to get connected and works great. I rarely have problems except when my cable is down. The screen is clear and looks great to me. I have had no need to adjust the color or anything. It just looks great right out of the box. The speakers are great as well. Sound realistic and except for the volume have not adjusted that either. For the money this thing is awesome for what it is. And suits my needs perfectly. Oh and this isn't my first Insignia either. I have a 50" 720hd in my living room that is connected through a Blue Ray player. I get it on sale Black Friday 2010. This new one has a better picture and sound and to my surprise is much much lighter.

I purchased a few of these after spending a considerable amount of time deciding whether or not to upgrade to a 4k smart TV. It did not make sense for me to go that route since our cable provider, Brighthouse, which uses coaxial cable, has a bandwidth cap on the amount of data that coax can handle and does not currently support 4k, only TVs will upscale the signal. So for now 1080p is about as good as it gets unless you plan to stream content at 4k, which for our case isn't what we were after. The Roku menus are easy to learn, even for the elderly as I taught my father how to navigate and watch some streaming channels. I also love how I can show my father a mirror image of my android phone using "connected device" and even plug in a usb flash drive on the left side port to play movies, music, or even slideshow of pictures. Great TV for the price. I bought two.

I purchased this Roku Smart TV 3 days before Black Friday and I couldn't be happier! It offers an amazing picture and good sound and for the of $249.99 nothing compares to it within that price range. I have a 55" Vizio that I paid 3 times as much for and the Vizio picture quality is far less than that of the Insignia. Overall I'm extremely satisfied and can't believe it was only 249.99!!!

easy to set up, clear, bright picture and built in Roku & Netflix is easy to use

Great TV. No complaints there. Remote has buttons for services I don't use and missing buttons for things I do, making you dive into clunky menus to get what you want. They must have figured nobody would use over the air digital because there are no controls for it. If you cut the cord and get local programming over the air you'll want a separate universal remote.
