Really great TV for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has a great picture quality and is easy to use. We hung it on our wall pretty easily. It is fairly heavy so it may require more than one person to mount on a wall.

Good picture & price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very happy with the picture, ease of set up, Vizio's free channels. However, when I scan for new over the air stations the tuner drops all of the previously scanned stations, starting over from scratch. This makes using my rotating antenna much more difficult. Also there is no listing of over the air channels that are found after the scan; the only information shown is the total number of stations found.

Great TV, Not So Great UI
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first Vizio TV and it's been great. I've had it for a little over a year with no problems. I don't really like the UI that is used for the TV. The UI is laggy has some ads and is sometimes buggy. However, I mostly use the TV for my Apple TV and my computer to stream content on the TV. For the price and the quality of the screen, it's a great product. The Vizio M-Series is definitely a step us from their V-Series and you can tell. I'd say spend the extra money for an M-Series TV if you're going to get a Vizio TV for the better quality screen.

Nice entry-level TV: one of the best at this price
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wait for a good deal--on sale, this is a nice bargain. The picture quality is good. The smart TV operating system is Smartcast, which I'm not crazy about, but it does offer some free TV and movies channels that aren't quite as easy to find on a Roku or Fire TV. Adding a Roku (which I did) is quite easy. The 50" model is not the higher quality version of the M-series Quantum model with 90 dimming zones (that is the 55" inch model). There are only 16 dimming zones on this 50" model. Still, it's a solid entry-level TV that is superior to the bargain basement models at the bottom of the low-end.

Great picture but issues
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has great picture quality, but I have had some issues with Smartcast loading. When this happens you have to go to settings and do a soft shutdown. In the few weeks I’ve had it, I’ve probably done the shutdown 4 times. One time the remote buttons wouldn’t work and I had to call customer service. They were great to talk with, and she was able to walk me through a few things to get it working again. She said that if I kept having problems that it may need to be replaced. That’s a little bit of a task because it’s mounted on the wall. Hopefully I won’t have any big issues that would make me return it.

Great if you don't want something massive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first foray into 4k. I upgraded to this from a 720p plasma screen that weighed more than my ex and had almost no features to it other than being a TV. Conversely, this thing doesn't have any of the UI scaling issues my old TV has when playing certain games, and as a 4k vs 720p the difference is night and day. I can't really talk about the smart TV aspects as I have enough gadgets laying around that do most of those things anyway, so I mostly just needed a 4k TV. If you want something bigger, this comes in bigger sizes, but the 50-inch is fine for people with smaller living arrangements. Sitting too close or too far from a TV depending on size can degrade the experience in my opinion.

Great 4K TV for people on a budget!!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If your on a budget but want 4K then is TV is truly the best in this price range. I have tried Samsung and other brands and this really is the best one. The picture is bright, sharp and full of detail and great deep blacks. A little light bleed is to be expected as with most TVs but its hardly noticeably. Its easily up there with the top tier TVs. VIZIO is truly the best brand when it comes to quality TVs at and affordable price. The sound is superior and has a lot of great apps and features. VIZIO M Series is the best way to go when shopping for a decently priced 4K TV.

Amazing picture quality
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good picture quality, some of the default settings are off and can cause flickering. A simple tweak on the settings and everything works good. the menu is very easy to use, pictures is great for a UHD 4K TV. The remote is basic but does the job, i am able to use the Vizio remote to control everything including the sound bar using HDMI ARC. Visually the TV looks good, the frame is minimal, and the weight is decent for its size. Everything is streamed using the installed apps. Going form app to app is quick and seamless. Casting or using airplay is also easy to do with third party devices. Overall the software platform is will thought out. The menus are very intuitive.

Great picture; questionable longevity
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this tv on October 26 2019. The day after I bought it, the tv would not turn on. I tried new batteries in the remote, I tried the button on the tv; nothing worked. I power cycled the tv twice, and it finally turned on. A couple days after, the same thing happened, and once again, went through troubleshooting, and ultimately had to unplug everything, hold the power button, and plug everything back in again. So, two (Technically 3) power cycles in less than a week. Tonight, the speakers stopped working, but again, power cycling resolved it. I’m fairly certain I just got a lemon, and just need to exchange it, but I’m worried about going through the same issues again. The last tv I had for a decade with no problems, and this one hasn’t even lasted 10 days, so my expectations may very well be too high. Bottom line, the tv LOOKS good, and offers a lot, but if it’s unreliable none of that matters. Looking at all the positive reviews, I’m sure I just got a bad one. This weekend it’ll go back and I’ll exchange it for one that will hopefully last me 10 years.

Good TV for the price

Good pic for the price
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought and set this up during early days of quarantine. The picture was a huge improvement over my 39" E-series. The smart functions of the TV are always having problems though. Sometimes it will crash during a show or while I'm looking for something to watch and it doesn't come back up for a while. I had to soft reset the TV 3 times in the first two months. I think the picture settings are limited too. It does look great when I'm watching movies or playing games. The price was good. Overall I'm glad I bought it.

Best TV for the buck
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this TV. It is the perfect quality for the price. The 4k looks really good on it. The colors on HDR look amazing. The blacks could be more black, but for this price.
