I liked this chromebook so much that I ordered another one for my girlfriend. The screen is large and good resolution with surprisingly good speakers, these speakers are better than many laptops. The only thing of any issue is the keyboard seems a little off center as when I am fast typing and my finger intends to hit the (a) key I hit the search button next to it, so it takes a lot of getting use to. But other than that, great and the 4GB ram it can keep up with multitasking .

I would say this product is an excellent one for beginners or people who don’t know technology well. It has a clean UI, set up is simple and easy to understand. The other great thing about this one is it has android operating system as well as google chrome. If you have a smartphone you already know how to use one half of this system. You can choose not to even use the android feature but I find it does help, especially if you need to download apps.
Now for the negative: you can’t play any discs to this pc. You can’t download outside sources, and you can’t do a whole lot with it in regards to business stuff.
If you purchased this for basic web browsing, checking/responding to emails, and watching videos, then this is the one for you. If you want to download lots of large files, play CDs, and use it for extended periods of time, this isn’t the right one.
Battery life is decent for basic usage, extended usage you get a few hours max before it needs a recharge. The great thing about it is I’ve had for almost 2 years and it still boots up and runs like it did the Day I bought it. No slowing down or anything like that. I would Purchase this again but I would only recommend it for a very basic computer user that isn’t very knowledgeable about technology.

First Chromebook and pretty spiffy, esp if you're a casual user. Need a Google account to get started. Runs fairly fast for its specs. Since it's for my in-law, I'm not using it every day. I was able to tinker w/ it to help get them setup and it seemed pretty nice operationally, and looks-wise is pretty nice. Not too heavy either, so that's a plus.

This product was brought for my daughter for school work. This notebook is a great first laptop for kids starting high school. Battery life is better than expected. Not slow at all. Got this while it was in sale for a great price. Would have paid the the full price through. It's that good. The size is a little big but that's my only hang up.

Most chrome books in this price have smaller screens and downward speakers. This Acer has a larger form factor that allows for useful upward facing stereo speakers. The screen is not the brightest, but is a great size for office work or video consumption. The texture makes it easy to carry.

I have loved using my new chromebook. It was easy to setup and runs great for uploading pictures, QBs online and anything else I need. I would recommend this because of the screen size as well. It's not tiny and does not strain the eyes.

I was looking for a very basic entry level notebook, and after looking at the options at various stores (Costco, Best Buy, Target) and speaking with store representatives, I went with this Acer Chromebook which had the right combination of size, speed, and price that I was looking for.

Very good value for this Chromebook. The 15.6 inch screen is a lot better than some reviewers would lead you to believe, I knew what to expect for the price and find it perfectly acceptable for my use. True that the angle has to be within certain limits, but it's a 720p TFT screen in a $200 Chromebook crying out loud. Don't expect a 1080p IPS. they have much higher priced units for those expecting that! It's like buying base model economy car and expecting it to compete with a Corvette or Mercedes.....ridiculous comparison!
This Chromebook's proved to be a very well built and great functioning machine. It does everything I bought it to do without a hiccup. And, the battery life is super long, though I never let it get fully drained, It appears able to last the full time advertised.
Bottom line: If you want a big screen Chromebook on a budget....this is one I can recommend.based on my own positive experience.

Very fast. Don't have to worry about OS anymore. Great battery charge holding/charging times. Great screen size. Lost some keys that are on most keyboards. Lightweight and doesn't get hot like most laptops. For the price I paid, the best purchase I've made in a while.

Overall I really like this Chromebook. It is extremely fast on waking up and the battery lasts about 8-10 hours. I love the size of the 15 inch screen. I can't imagine trying to use the 11 or 12 inch screens on most of the other Chromebooks. They look like computers for children. I saw a lot of comments complaining that the screen isn't 1080P high def. The screen is fine. It's still 720p and it is fine for reading the newspaper, email and browsing the web. Unless of course you want to do video editing. The keys are little closer together than I prefer so that causes some keying errors but overall it is well built. For the price, this is a great deal!

I bought a Samsung chrome book a few months before buying this one. I needed something bigger and I loved how big the screen is on this laptop (with a better split screen ratio).
The only downfalls are:
1. It’s a little slower to generate data just because of how big it is
2. It runs more like a real computer as oppose to an app based laptop like the Samsung chrome book.
3. Some programs don’t work the same way (I use quick books and it has a friendlier navigation on the Samsung
Other than that it keeps an amazingly long battery life (especially on sleep mode), has a great screen to multi-task, and the keyboard is smooth and easy to use.

At this price point with a 15” screen, and 4gb of ram, this is a good laptop. While onboard storage is low, utilizing both Google Drive Cloud and adding a SD card, so far so good!

This is my first chrome book, my experience with it is overall good. The battery last longer than those in Microsoft. The speakers are really good and loud. The only problem is when you try to scroll down on websites, it’s an issue for me. Since this was my first chrome book it was very difficult at the begging to get used to it. At one point I had to watch videos on YouTube about how to use it lol. I would recommend this laptop to anyone who does not want to spend a lot of money on a computer and who will only use it to watch videos or do homework. I’ll definitely try to upgrade to new chrome books. I really like them.

I was looking for something inexpensive but had a nice processor and decent memory. This Chromebook provided that and with a larger screen than many of the Chromebooks that were for sale in the same price range. It is light weight making it easy to take on trips. Since I already have computers with productivity software, I was not looking to spend the money for one with those capabilities. The Google apps provide enough programs for simple production if I am in need of such programs. This Acer Chromebook's capability far exceeds the cost I paid.

This Chromebook goes on sale quite often. I got it for my older aunt who is not very computer literate, but she finds this much easier to use than a PC with all the updates. Granted, she doesn't update the Chromebook at all, but when I visit her, it's a quick 30 seconds to do. For the size of the screen and the basic performance for a novice, it's a perfect choice. I have thought about getting one for my mom to replace her 11" Lenovo Chromebook, but that one's connected to an external monitor, so she is fine for now. It's also very sturdy, albeit not light.

I love the Chromebook concept - relatively inexpensive, great for surfing/streaming/light tasks, and security built in. I work a job on the weekends where there are long periods of down time - so I was looking for something to throw in my backpack and bring with me to pass the time. The build is solid, the 4GB of RAM worked just fine for what I needed it for (surfing/streaming) and the battery life is great. The screen is just so-so - not very sharp. My biggest issue is that it's kinda' bulky. At this price point it's a got a little more weight and it's thicker.

Great Computer for College

Awesome computer for my college years. It’s lightweight And Acer has always had quality computers. The only thing that I could see as a buff would be if they added a back-lit keyboard— I would even pay a little extra for it. This laptop has speakers on it instead of the 10-Key, but the speakers are nice and quality. Great memory, could have a little more speed but it’s great for what you spend. Overall very satisfied with my product! Thank you Acer x Chromebook!
