I've recently been going with so-called "off brands" because they are usually a better value, and don't come bogged down with a ton of bloatware like some of the other brands. Acer has been one of those companies in the past, and I have an older Acer tower that I've been really happy with for years. This one however, came loaded down with a bunch of bloatware, and some of the drivers were not installed. To make matters worse, it had about 4 hours of updates that needed to be downloaded. I understand some updates are part of the nature of the beast in buying PC's in today's market, but 4 hours is excessive, even on a budget price piece like this. It's running well now, but it took a lot of extra work to get it going, and that's with my limited knowledge on how to fix these issues. Someone more novice may not have been able to get the DVD drivers to install, so overall a disappointment.

Even with a quad-core processor, this PC was a little sluggish at doing some tasks. I added 4GB of RAM and it's a little snappier now. But this is a great PC for anywhere that you need something in a compact space. It works perfectly for a home office or a guest room. Good for e-mail, web browsing, and basic word processing.

Can't ask for much more than this in a budget computer. All we needed was a PC to surf the web and do simple tasks. This does that wonderfully. Set up was easy. I went to the decraptifier website to remove all of the useless bloat that comes bundled with PC software. I have had no issues with this little gem so far.

I like the compact mini tower. I used it to connect to a TV to watch videos. The one thing I don't like too much is the OS of Windows 8.1 and also it seems like the internet is somewhat slow even with a Ethernet cable connected directly. But if you can get this on sale, it's not too bad for a basic computer to hook up to a TV for basic usage..

I bought this computer for my mother as a replacement for her old HP that ran Windows XP. She loves it. Nice slim line design, very quiet, easy set up, easy access to all the ports. The computer is fairly fast, adding more memory will increase the speed but as it sits it is not a bad computer. It is a basic computer, do not expect a speed demon or gaming system, not at this price. This computer is perfect for a student, e-mailing, watching You Tube and playing simple games. This system can even be used as a back up and that would be about all. If you are looking to game, render video's this system is not for you.

Performs pretty good with gaming, with a ram upgrade, I have 16Gbs of ram in it and it runs like a champ. At first I was hesitant when buying this product, but when I finally bought it, the PC actually surprised me! Another note is this PC runs great for a secondary PC when I comes to streaming (ex. Twitch) but It cannot preform with a game and for ex. OBS at the same time.. If you were to stream with this PC it would have to be with the use of a capture card to another system like Xbox 360 or PS3 Overall amazing product

As great as tablets are, you still need a desktop or laptop for certain things. I primarily use mine for logging into my vpn for work. This is inexpensive and does exactly what I need. I bought one earlier from a competitor for my son, and really liked it. When I started shopping for a replacement for my computer, I spent a little more time shopping around and found that Best Buy had the exact same computer for about $80 less. Ordered online with site-to-store pick up and it arrived in about 3 days, which was quicker than the estimated home delivery time.

Great for the price, replaced my old desktop. Easy to set up, just plug in and go...

I got this computer to mainly use the internet for school and use basic applications like Word and Excel. Works well but a little slow. I have to allow the computer a good 5 minutes to completely startup before I start to use it. For the price I love it. Gets the job done!

Bought this computer to finally replace my old system running on XP and have had a terrible time learning and getting used to Windows 8. The computer itself is fine and has plenty of power and memory to surf the web and check email, but give 3 stars because of the OS.

Exactly what I was looking for. Doesn't take up too much space. Works great for fantasy football which is why I bought it.

This is pretty decent computer with it's entry level processing capabilities. For the price it can't be beat. It has a decent memory and decent sized hard drive.

I really like the value for what I paid. My bigest complaint is that it came with Macafe and some other virous software that seem to fight each other and Im getting inodated with Malware.

Bought this for my mom that only plays Solitaire, checks email, and surfs the web, and it is perfect for that. Its not the fastest thing in the world, but for the price it really cant be beat.

This acer (for the price) is absolutely fantastic. It comes with a key board and mouse. All you need is a monitor. It starts FAST and performs well. The only think I didn't like was all the junk programs pre loaded into the system.... However it was simple to delete them. Reliable HDMI port as well which looks great with the Samsung monitor I got from best buy.

This is a great buy. My only concern was all of the software that came with it. I had to delete most of them to stop the continuous flow of pop-ups. Pop-ups should be illegal. They come up in the middle of my work and block my view of my work. Please stop allowing pop-ups.

I bought this for my elderly mother. She still had a PC with Windows XP! She needed to be modernized. She uses this for email, surfing the Internet FB, and playing windows games. It's great for her. Probably not for the big time gamers though!

This is a good computer and a really good price. Very small size so it fits in a small space.

was easy enough to set up. took awhile for everything to load. 1 hr total setup. thought it would be a little faster on the net. its for the kids so its plenty enough

So far I'm happy with Acer. Don't like windows 8.1 though and I know that's not entirely Acers fault. Other than that for the price it's a good, simple desktop for everyday internet use.
