I bought this laptop with extremely high expectations. Not unrealistic but still very high by mid range laptop or Chromebook standards. I love Chrome OS, on purpose. I love how simple it is. I love it's Linux core. I love that I can use Linux apps in a container and Android apps. And yet, Chromebooks tend to have great battery life and decent to great performance regardless of specs. This Chromebook had so much going for it. Nice size and weight, good sized higher res screen, decent amount of RAM and storage (certainly for the money and for Chromebooks), a metal body, and a 13th Gen core i5. But then I went to listen to some music and oh no. Nope. I've had cheap phones with louder, fuller speakers. They were just bad. I went to the Best Buy store to test out their floor model and sure enough, they also allowed had quiet, anemic speakers with no mids or bass. Mind you, I'm not expecting my laptop speakers to sound like a full stereo. I'm not expecting these to sound like a laptop twice as expensive either. But I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE tablet and those speakers sound 10 times better. Tablet speakers. Mid range tablet speakers. It was a deal breaker. I've just never owned a laptop with such quiet, sad speakers. It wasn't okay for 2023/2024. I'd pass unless they do a recall and replace the speakers or it's literally half off.

Acer makes a fantastic 2-in-1 Chromebook. This is an upgrade for me, as I previously owned a earlier model of the Spin that held up decently despite being rode hard. If you're on the fence about Chrome as an operating system, the only thing it can't do is run specific software that was built for PCs, but if there is a version of it in the Google play store you are good to go with these new Chromebooks. I didn't think I needed a touchscreen laptop but now I wouldn't ever buy one without it. I don't use the tablet mode or alternative setups, but it works great in the normal laptop orientation.

The Acer Chromebook Spin 714 is perfect for us. The touchscreen and keyboard access give us flexibility in our needs.It’s fast and responsive.

Bought this for my son because it was recommended by another of my sons. They particularly like and consistently use the feature that the top folds backwards to make it super easy to use the computer while lounging in different positions. Clear graphics and sturdy. Not what else to say, they both think it’s perfect.

Been on the hunt for a good laptop for a while. Needed one that was good for everyday use and memory was bog for me. This chromebook is lightweight and fast. Good for everyday use.

Works quickly and smoothly. Lighter than my previous notebook. Good displaysOnly problem i have had is that it saves passwords even when i dont ask it to.

Great performing Chromebook. Everything works really well. It's very far, the screen looks great, the touchpad is fantastic and the keyboard is a joy to type on.

The Chrome OS is probably the easiest OS to use in my opinion. Its not flashy like the Macs or busy like Windows, its just a simple and elegant OS. I switched from all Apple products to all Google products bc i mostly use Google and i like Android better. The flip over use as a tablet is excellent, if not a bit bulky but ive used it that way most of the time. I replaced my Pixel Slate with this and while that had nothing but issues this product is fast and super responsive and i dont plan on going back. Although there are some key changes id make to Google Meet to xompete with FaceTime.

Brilliant display really brings out the resolution. Very fast and love the AI features.

I bought 2 of these for my kids to replace their Lenovo Chromebooks I got for them a couple of years ago. Great product for the price. Upside is the included case, downside is the 2023 model does not include a stylus. I purchased a stylus from Acer, but still can't get it to work. Battery life is great...they use them to play Roblox on the weekends, and haven't heard any complaints yet about having to plug them in too soon.

Coming from a full Windows laptop, I decided to try out a chromebook as my go to EDC computer. This Acer Spin 714 is awesome. It is quick, powerful, and flexible. I can do practically everything I was doing on my old Windows laptop on this chromebook and have plenty of power to last me all day. I have it sync'd up with my Android phone and can do everything on it except answer calls. I can even send text messages and auto activate and connect my phones hotspot when WiFi is unavailable, without touching my phone. I highly recommed this chromebook for the heavy PC user who does most of their work on the cloud.

I really like by new Acer chromebook, the keyboard and the screen colors are amazing. I just wish the volume had more range. I use a lot for streaming!!!!!!

My wife is very happy with the size of the screen, the speed of the processor. It has been a good buy and good bang for our buck.

I love this Chromebook. It’s perfect for work. It can handle more than a few tabs. Works well with Google suite. Recommend for anyone who uses Google One and the Google suite. The speakers are in an odd place but it doesn’t impact my daily activities.

I have been using this device for work and media consumption as my daily driver. It has great battery life and display but there are a lot of heating issues and the system hangs a lot. Considering this is a Chromebook with simple Chrome OS and the tasks are mainly media browsing - it should have done a better job at handling this and the experience should have been smooth but unfortunately, that's not the case. The previous version from Acer - the Chromebook spin 13 was miles better. Please avoid this and take it only after testing it in the store.

I had a chromebook prior to this one. I am retired and have little computer knowledge and experience but it was so easy to get the data and info from my old chromebook onto this one. The batterylife is good, the other day I was on 2 long zoom calls (at least 4 hours) and it still had plenty of battery left. The screen is clear and has good clarity. It is light and comes with a padded carrying case making it easy to pack and travel with.

Great laptop. Crystal clear screen. Super fast. Charges fast. Nicely lighted keypad. Very happy with my purchase.

EASY TO SET UP AND RUNS GREAT....SO FAR. IM USING IT FOR A HOME OFFICE DEVICE AND IS MORE THAN ADEQUATE.
