The laptop works very well and is an incredible bargain as I bought it as an open box item! It was an issue to install updates and newer drivers due to a Microsoft security update and some bloatware that was shipped with the laptop. No problem performed a clean Windows 11 install and fixed that issue by only loading what I needed. So far so good very happy with the looks, speed and gaming performance. I have bought 2 other open box laptops from Best Buy Outlet; they were both covered by my Best Buy Total member almost $200 a year service plan, even a Dell that was refurbished by Dell, no questions no fuss. Saw this refurbished Acer and jumped as it was a great price for this configuration. The next step that I usually do is check my Best Buy Total membership to see how long it is warranted for. Surprise it is Not on my membership page at all! I was curious so I called customer service. At first, I was told that it was covered just like anything else I have purchased from Best Buy, a minute later I was told that it was not covered as the order was fulfilled by Acer.
Contacted Acer, they said that unless the item was purchased directly from their website, they referred me to a 3rd party company that has so far failed in the last 2 weeks, to reply to any inquiries from me. All I can say is while the laptop is awesome, you should check who you need to contact for any service follow ups as Best Buy Total is not a Total coverage when buying from Best Buy!

This is a fantastic laptop, I love almost everything about it. I finally jumped to windows 11, which has a few quircks that Windows 10 did better, like handling multi channel surround, but I figured it out. I'm even surprised by the battery life, normally gaming laptops go fast but this was still going strong after an hour. The only thing I miss is a fingerprint sensor because I keep my laptop in a cabinet hooked to my TV 95% of the time and it's hard for the camera to see my face, but really not a big deal just mentioning it in case somebody needs to know there isn't one.

Low battery life and makes some whirring sounds, but the screen is genuinely fantastic. Runs smoothly too. Just know you can't set the refresh rate below 265, which doesn't help the battery. Probably not worth it for full price, but I recommend it if you can get a good deal. And with current prices idk if any laptop is worth the full price rn.

I was very happy with this laptop it runs great but then it froze on me. I returned it and am waiting on the replacement hope that it works even better.
