I upgraded the operating system on one of my desktops and was unable to reconnect my wireless adapter even after updating drivers. Instead of purchasing another wireless adapter I decided to go with the network adapter kit; has turned out to be a great decision. Inexpensive, compact, simple setup and fast.

We needed to have a dedicated internet line for our remote pool system and it works perfectly. Our wifi station was too far away and couldn't get a good signal as it was outside the house. This fixed the problem and is always connected. I plan to buy a few more for streaming movies, etc.

This is my second purchase of this product. The first failed after about 8 months. I switched wall outlets & it started working again. Then about 4 months later, it stopped working completely. Hopefully this second one will last much longer.

Had always heard about these but was always skeptical how well they worked. Bought These to get a more steady internet connection in my bedroom and office and not only have they given me a more steady connection, but a much faster connection than before (via wireless).

I was looking for a way to increase my networking speed so I adjusted my router settings but then my PS3 could not connect wirelessly anymore. The PS3 version I have is not compatible with an N Wireless router. Using the Actiontec Powerline allowed me to connect my PS3 to the adapter and the other end plugged into the router gave me the connectivity to my router that I needed. My blu-ray player and Fios box both work better when streaming video and I get the same great quality streaming video on my PS3 or playing games online!

This product is a good option for anyone that wants to extend their network coverage where wireless and running your CAT5/6e is NOT effective or possible. Also, the 500 Mbps is totally misleading! The adapter only comes with 100 Mbps Ethernet jack. In ideal condition (adapters plugged into power outlets in same room), 40-50Mbps is possible. 10-20 Mbps when adapters are plugged into outlet across house and floor.

we are in the process of finishing a basement, & I knew I had a bad wireless signal in the basement. I was going to run a LAN cable down to the basement but the worker at Best Buy suggested I use this instead or i would be splicing LAN cable because I needed such a long lenth of cable. Much easier to do this and so far it has worked very well. Plus, I can take it anywhere in the house if I need to.

I have recommended this to others and it does not require a degree to install. This product is backed by the manufacturer and Best Buy and a great buy for the price. The product does not require any download or any outside technical support.

Product has promise for sure but not in my network. It seemed to work great for a few days. Then all of a sudden I started to have strange issues all through my home network. There is no room in my network that is not wired. But where my TV is there is no connection. I ran a flat Cat 5 cable along the floor to it for years. Then I installed a MoCA network device which worked great. But it stopped and had only a 60 day warranty. So I thought I would try this device. After being in service a few days and working find all of a sudden one day I lost my internet connection, then soon after my local area connection to my other computers went away. I tried everything I could to figure out what was happening. I thought my router had failed. Finally I pulled this device out of the wall outlet and BAM everything worked like it had before. So I returned it. Maybe it works for others but I didn't want to take a chance with it again. Then I tried my MoCA again and got lucky and it worked. I guess it just needed to be reset after being in service for four months. Currently my TV is working with the MoCA adapter and I would now buy another if it did fail. For anyone looking to get a fast solid internet connection to their TV or other devices and they don't have a Cat connection I would urge you to look up these MoCA adapters. There a bit more money but they do work. There just as easy to install. I do not understand why there not available everywhere Smart TVs or Game consoles are sold.

Have used powerline Ethernet adapters for some time, but one died so had to upgrade. Decided on Actiontec based on reviews and price. Net-net, reliability of the connection was an issue - would just stop working at various times. When it stayed connected, it was great, but there was no telling when it would stop. Tech support always said it was "my wiring" (what else is new). Finally one died - after 4 1/2 months. We'll see what the replacement process looks like.
