Great for bringing high speed internet into rooms where you don't have it pre-wired, and you don't want to use wireless. Works perfectly and I get about 40mbps speed.

really great for what i needed it for. would prefer it, if my internet was the bottle neck and not the device. but that is only a problem when i am trying to push the absolute maximum speeds from my internet. so over all not a problem and 99.99999% of users will never see this problem.
so over all a great product. with slight upgrades i would love it to death. no real complaints.

This fixed an issue in the studio with Avid Artist devices needing to be hook up to a Hardwire switch/router. My Router is over 20ft away from my Avid devices so there where only two choices run long cat6 wire to the router an hide the wirer some how or this option plug into the router then a wall outlet then a wall outlet close to the avid devices and all works perfectly.

This was the cheapest 4 port powerline I could find. I hooked up the single unit to my 2Wire Modem and the 4 port unit to my Yamaha receiver, Oppo blue ray player, LG TV, and Panasonic blue ray player. Worked instantly and just had to go into the menu of the connected units to select the wired connection option. My modem is approximately 50 feet from my home theater system and goes thru two walls. When I was originally setup wireless I had connection drops when watching Netflix or listening to Net Radio or Pandora. Now everything plays flawless.

Trying to connect my TV/internet video downstairs through wireconnection--my internet video setup only has WEP wireless but I setup my wireless network WPS2.
The connection setup is very easy, and the speed is clearly faster then through wireless--I use another wireless router without open access as comparison.
However, after a few days of good connection, one day it just stopped connecting to the web. I restarted my modem, router, unplug/replug Actiontec, all no vail. Yet, after a few days, reconnecting seems works again. Still don't know what the issue is. But the adaptor and hub did get rather hot when not able to connect.

One day, I was trying to come up with a solution for providing Internet to a part of my house that had no Cat 5 run to it. I ran a temporary line that was always in the way and wireless wouldn't reach that part of the house. We went to our local Best Buy and picked up the Actiontec Electronics Powerline Ethernet Adapter and now my son can access the network and play on-line games like StarCraft.
