to save $ we recently cut the cord from comcast and signed up for century link for our internet provider. we found our wireless access was being disrupted and learned about the powerline ethernet adapter. it has really helped the situation. the direct ethernet connection from the hub has helped with mostly uninterrupted, stable connectivity. no gaming, use internet for personal email, browsing, banking and telecommuting.

Still need to hook up security system but it has worked great so far so I don't foresee any issues.

Easy to install. Low cost way to connect anything on line that does not have wireless connectivity.

This really solved a problem for me. I have one bedroom in my house that is not wired for ethernet with repeater hubs. I have a solid WiFi network but this bedroom is a kind of dead zone. WiFi would connect on my apple TV but would it not stream video. Eventually over driving ruined it's WiFi capability. Also XBox was in and out. Once I installed this device, everything now works beautifully without any problems.

I bought this a couple weeks ago and initially it worked fine, but there came a point where every single day I'd have to mess with it to establish a connection. It eventually just stopped working all together and now I don't know what to do with it.

Works perfectly. Highly recommended. Streams Netflix and Hulu Plus with no hiccups.

This is a okay solution to home networking. It is certainly no hardwired network, but it gets the job done. The speed goes up and down and some of my devices won't connect as good as others. My Samsung TV finds the network no problem and can stream movies directly from my Iomega NAS. My Pivos Xios XBMC media player can find the network, but cannot get on the internet, nor can it find my NAS. This is a bit of a problem. The Pivos will most likely get replaced with a XBox One when they are released. Hopefully it will work on the network through the Actiontec.
