Make sure to read the distance restriction on it. And don't count distance between jacks but distance of wire.

The salesman said that this would allow for easy connection between my Security DVR system and my wireless router located in another room. Sure enough! Bingo ... it did just what it said on the tin. Thanks guys!

I have 3 AirPlay devices throughout home. Wifi wasn't strong enough to play from PC to all 3 devices. The Actiontec solved this issue. I bought 2 kits to have enough for my PC and the AirPlay devices.

I use this product daily due to working remotely and needing to have my biz computer on opposite corner of house from modem/router. Thus far, it has worked well--have had consistent internet access.

I didn't want to spend money on a dual band wifi extender when my older consoles only pick up the 2.4gHz band as it drops out at night from neighboring interference. I consistently get about 60mbps on Xfinity. With this hooked up, it uses the electric lines in my house to give me a wired connection to a bedroom on a separate breaker. I consistently pull about 20mbps with this on my PS3 and Wii. For $45 for the 4-port version this is a great gadget.

I purchased this product to network some TV equipment in an apartment. I had a completely wired home before we moved and I didn't want to buy a bunch of new wireless equipment until our new house was closer to completion. I hooked this up to attempt to save some time. It worked well for a few days, but I had a few issues with the signal. After getting my electrical equipment out of storage I tested some of the lines in the apartment and got some odd readings that made me think that there were some less than dependable lines in the space. Some outlets were half switches (bottom of the outlet was attached to a light switch) and our Apt. is on the second floor, so some of the runs are probably quite long. ANd I can't guarantee that no other signals are on the lines. The adapter worked well when I could get a stable signal. I would recommend this for someone who has a newer (maybe 20 years old or less) home with good wiring. Probably not for someone in an old apartment complex.

I have a finished basement and cannot run wires to the location of my TV, DVD, xbox and smart tv. This works great as I can hookup 4 devices to it and it works great.

I bought this unit to replace Linksys model I had been using for years. There is a noticeable difference in speed with these. I really like this option with the 4 port switch. This is used at the entertainment center so there is Ethernet for Xbox, Blue-Ray, TV, and PC. I have additional kits so that I have Networking in every room I need it, and out on the Patio!! I have recommended this solution to many friends!!

The distance of my router from my Smart TV and Xbox is such that I was not able to get the signal strength I desired for high quality streaming. Moving the router was not a feasible option. This powerline adapter essentially acts as an extension of the router, allowing me to plug it into an outlet near the TV and Xbox and then plug the TV and Xbox directly into it. The signal strength on both devices is at maximum.

Every darn thing needs an internet connection now. This set-up makes it easy to connect all these newfangled gadgets to your modem. I recently updated my home entertainment system. I had to download new software and reboot my surround sound amp! This system connects my HDTV, Tivo and the afore mentioned amp to the internet. So far, with no problems. I think I will try to expand the network to an outbuilding next.

The Actiontec Powerline PWR514K01 is an improvement over wireless N. Product is being used to connect a Dish Hopper and a DVD player. Netflix loads more efficiently with far fewer buffer pauses. Viewing Dish DVR recordings through Dish Anywhere provides solid picture.

This product does everything as advertised, Speeds are great and it is much better than a wifi setup.
the only issue with this device is that it can be slighty awkward to plug into a plug that is right into the wall with the ports on the top of the device.

It works but I still have connection issues. I was told it was due to having my office in a basement. The reception may never be perfect. I probably will buy in the near future a 6 antenna booster. From Best Buy, of course. they take care of their customers. I am confident of their knowledge and service.

Fantastic device... Very easy to install and use.
Only issue is if you want to use more then one adapter on one hub you must purchase a whole kit, you can't just buy the adapter.
I purchased two full kits and they simply plug in and find themselves , no setup needed. They both run off of one hub at my router.

Used this product to replace a network cable that ran across my room from the router to my entertainment center. Also provided internet to a TV system on another floor where wireless just didn't work. Seems to work well. Once in awhile the quality over Netflix will timeout and drop a little. Also have a problem with the plug falling out of the wall outlets. Overall, it works as advertised.

I bought a home that was pre-wired for internet and the only place that I could set up my router was not in a location where I could set up my desktop computer and I wanted to be able to hardwire my desktop to the internet. I found this and was thrilled. It works great, you just plug it in and your instantly connected and I can put my desktop anywhere I want without any issues.
