This is one of those unique films. It’s slow paced yet enough action and surprises to keep you intrigued and tuned in. I couldn’t get over how beautifully created the film was. I knew from the trailers there would be awesome graphics..I was NOT disappointed! I truly felt as if I was traveling in space/isolated in our solar system! I recommend

Boring Only paid $4. Not worth the time. Very slow and just dragged out

I enjoyed this movie - I thought the cinematography was beautiful along with the immersive DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 soundtrack!

This was my second viewing of Ad Astra. The 4K HDR transfer is excellent with deep blacks and nicely saturated colors. The movie itself has good replay value as I enjoyed it the second time around. I very much appreciated the linear timeline-flashbacks are only used as necessary so that the viewer can get a better understanding of the Brad Pitt character’s thoughts and emotions. The director’s commentary is very informative. I would consider a rating of 4 1/2 stars but my choice was 4 or 5 stars.

Well as far as space travel it would take them longer then what they showed in the movie. The plot was septar, special effects weren't bad. Probably will never watch the movie again.

Will watch several times. Seen it first time in theater. Great movie for home theater, if you have a great sound system.

I was watching the movie and my wife fell asleep watching it. I could finish it. But it was good for what I remember.

Kept you wondering and waiting, but worth it all, with slow moving, action, which it build with sinister mystery!

Not sure what all the psychic stuff was about. Apparently you had to think the "right" way to get the job of going into space. The space stuff was a bit interesting.

Ad Astra - perhaps this movie depicts what future space travel will be like as we reach out into the stars.

This is a very well acted film and more of a "thinking man's" sci-fi flick ala 2001 than an action packed Star Wars type of fantasy. Not that there aren't action sequences or tense moments but this film tries to stay more grounded in reality as best it can. View it more as a drama about a father/son relationship than a space opera and you may enjoy it more. I think people's incorrect expectations caused some of the films more negative responses.

This is a slow burner with some zany elements all on a sci-fi presence. People do not like to admit when they are wrong and other people do not like to suffer from other people's decisions. Confronting those issues is difficult, especially when you are an astronaut and miss your dad. This is well done, has some cool special effects, and in 4K I am not gonna say no on Black Friday.

Great visuals. Surprising storyline. Music well compliments scenes. A space odyssey on an earthly level.

Ride along with the next phase of the space program. An awesome thriller in a different world, literally!

Interesting movie with Brad Pitt going out into space looking for his father who was also a famous pioneer astronaut who some how has set into motion a cascade of events affecting earth. The movie at the times moves back and forth in time but does move forward enough to keep up with major plot Brad getting to his father. Some good special effects but does lack some background on Brads wife and family who have very little speaking part.

Ad Astra was an excellent movie. I enjoyed it from start to finish. It was as good as Interstellar.

Great depiction of what life outside of earth would be. Not in my lifetime of course.

I found this film a feast for the eyes because the visuals are great. The acting is excellent as expected from such a cast of award winners (Brad Pitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Donald Sutherland, Ruth Negga, Natasha Lyonne etc.) Special features on the 4K UHD are great! If you like sci-fi that makes you think, then you might enjoy this film.
