Amazing service and setup. Patient in setting up a complex connection to our surround speakers, making sure our cable remote was coordinated perfectly with the amp and provided great instructions on use.

I was not getting any sound from my speakers for my CD player. The problem was with my receiver and all they had to do is push a button on the receiver and the speakers worked. They also connected my DVD player to the speakers, however, they said my DVD player was not working. I don't think it has ever been used and they said if it isn't used, it could break. I'm in my 80's so trying to understand all this is too much for me.

My recently purchased 4K Sony 65 inch OLED television was not compatible to my old receiver. Based on the Geek Squad technician's, who setup my television, recommendation I returned to my Best Buy store and purchased the Denon AVR S750H, an extended warranty and the Geek Squad AV receiver setup. Kyle, my assigned Geek Squad service person, arrived on time. He wore a mask and protective coverlet for his shoes. He was fast and efficient. Then his demeanor changed. He became slow and informative. He first calibrated my receiver. He carefully explained how everything worked. He even programmed my U-verse remote to make watching television even easier. As a senior citizen new to 4K I was not only appreciative of his service I was impressed by his concern for my complete satisfaction.

The service tech for the set up the receiver was excellent!!!! It is important to advise u that a service tech was suppose to show up for a computer/printer repair on this same date. No show no call. I subsequently set up 2 more appts for the computer/printer issues they we also no show no call. Finally yesterday, the 4th appt, Tyler showed up and was amazing. Geek squad did a terrible job with scheduling and showing up for my computer appt it took 4 times!!! U really owe me a refund I was home off work for all 4 appts. Thank goodness I did get great techs when someone showed up

After a few failure attempts to install my subwoofer myself, I called Geek Squad to do the help. The main challenges came from the old counter-intuitive interface which Denon is still using. Wyatt really went above and beyond to get the job done. Initially they went through all the diagnostic approaches to make sure every components were working. Then even the Denon interface was poorly designed, Wyatt still managed to find out how and why the subwoofer was not working and fixed it properly. One truly demonstrated the excellency and spirit to never give up until the work is done.

The agents took away our old non-functioning TV, set-up the new TV, a receiver, and speakers, and connected all of our existing peripheral components to the new systems. They did an amazing job while also answering all of my questions and helping me to become familiar with the new set-up. One part of the existing set-up didn't work with the new receiver, but the agents helped guide me to what I needed to order to get it working, and set-up everything for me to complete the installation easily on my own. I hate setting up home theater equipment, and the Geek Squad made my life so much simpler. They were friendly, knowledgable, and efficient. Would recommend this service to everyone.

We bought the JBL Home Theater sound system from BestBuy, and the installation process was incredibly difficult. The first agent who came to install it completely messed it up, he dropped and broke on of our speakers, fried the center speaker, and did not connect the wires properly. The second agent was not able to fix the issues either. Finally, Austin Worrel was assigned as our agent and he completely replaced the installation - new wires, everything set-up and working perfectly. We are very satisfied with his work! He was incredibly friendly and nice throughout the process, being understanding and explaining everything thoroughly. He is an incredible worker! We have told everyone we know that if they purchase something from Best Buy to try and get Austin to be their agent. Truly great worker!

Geek Squad installed our TV, connected it to our Home Theatre system, cleaned up the wires and explained exactly how to negotiate four or five remotes. We're good to go now.

Agent upgraded my old Bose lifestyle system to my hmdi only smart tv…..it works great and they also added a device that enabled me to get Bluetooth……it was worth the money

We needed new protector installed in our media room. Tory and Jason conducted a meticulous site visit inspected area existing speakers, receiver, wiring and mount. They determined we needed new receiver to support the 4k laser projector. They suggested purchasing new HDMI just incase it was needed. We had already purchased the projector so Tory spent extra time assessing throw distance vs existing mount. He determined exact mount needed and a new hole would be needed (the existing spot couldn’t be used) because of the shorter throw distance on new projector to ceiling outlet.
When they came to install they were very neat, setup blankets and kept their work areas clean entire time. Tory’s attention to detail, he determined we could keep the existing HDMI and reran the HDMI to new hole to projector. It was incredible he was able to mount the projector close enough to outlet that you don’t notice the cable to outlet at all. He also put ceiling cover over the prior spot. Everything looks amazing. Jason installed receiver and checked all sound and determined we needed fuse for subwoofer. They made sure projector and system were working perfectly, vacuumed and cleaned up area before leaving. I would highly recommend them what a great team. Their attention to detail is amazing doing everything to make sure we were happy especially that spot for the mount.
Side Note: Tory mounted our 55 inch TV in bedroom in spring and did a fantastic job as well he simply had an eye for detail and wanted everything perfect. When he arrived to install projector we knew we were in good hands.

He set up the receiver, attached all the input devices and ensured that all the units and the speakers worked correctly. He went over the unit controls and explained the features of the receiver and operation of the remote control. He was very thorough and professional. Good job!

My new home theater receiver was set up and working, and the techs showed me how to make sure I was on the correct setting for my speakers. They were polite and helpful, and they were good ambassadors for Best Buy and Geek Squad.
However, in the weeks since, two of my speakers have stopped working, and I have discovered that there is no way of turning off the speakers in the other parts of the house and restricting sound to just the speakers in the den. Currently, if a house guest wants to watch television when I or someone else wants to (1) sleep, (2) relax quietly on the patio, or (3) converse or work quietly in the great room or dining room, there is NO WAY to cut off the speakers in the other rooms.
I did stress to the techs that my previous receiver provided the option to select only the speaker in the television room. I hope it is only a matter of accessing/setting up certain options in the unit. But . . . I definitely need another service call to make this situation right. Otherwise, I am in a dissatisfactory situation.
I still appreciate and believe in the Geek Squad, but I gave them a 4 instead of a 5 because my current sound situation is not how I need it.
