    Refused to Help Me Learn About One of the Products

    I was very unhappy with the help of Geek Squad during set up. First, there was an intern brought to my home without my permission. I am 72 years old and in this time of COVID< did not want anyone extra in my home. Second, they did not ask me questions about the details of my set up. For example, I wanted a sign in pass word. Most importantly, they did not help me learn my products. IN addition to the computer, I also had a cam and a screen installed. I paid for installation of both as well as my new computer. After setting it up, they told me I only had FIVE minutes to ask questions. I had no idea how to use my cam. They told me I could only use it with ZOOM. And since I had no ZOOM meeting to attend, there was no way to show me. I think I can do more with my camera. Like, I would like to make videos of myself for various reasons. Yet, the Geek Squad refused to help me learn my camera and I think gave me false information about it. Also, I am not happy with some online Geek Squad contacts. My computer was not acting right and TWO times they tried to get me to bring my computer to store. Eventually, they fixed the problem online. There was NO NEED to bring it into the store. Also, I brought my phone in for repair. After making me come back twice, they finally told me that only Apple could change my battery. Even though I like the idea of having this service, it has not worked well for me yet.

    I was promised one thing in store And another was delivered st home. Person complained about slowness of my Internet , left without seeing that all was working . Did not fully explain features before leaving . $250 is a lot of money for 1 hr of In home service . He told us to drill through hard drive or make sure we watched that happen When we returned it to Best Buy . Apple has a policy about not accepting used computers with hard drive removed ,so refused to do it. Employees in floor don't know this policy either. I had better in home set up of printer from Staples for less money

    He set the computer up. I guess that’s what he was supposed to do. Left me feeling like there was a lot more I could ha e used help with.

    Warranty Purchase

    It was easy for me to purchase a warranty and scheduled an appointment for September 15 for installations. I had an issues and needed Geek Squad to return. I got the run around regarding an appointment. I was scheduled for September 21 from 7:00 am-1:00 pm. They called the night before and said they had overbook. Then I was scheduled for for October 2 from 7 am-1:00 pm., the night before; I received a called confirming appointment with a time frame from 12:00-8:00 pm. The Associate ensured me that someone will be at my house in the morning. The, Associate assured me that I was scheduled for a morning appointment. I feel as though since they weren't receiving a service charge, they decided to scheduled me for the afternoon. The failed me as a valuable long-standing, Best Buy customer. I have been without a TV since September 15. I am not a happy customer.

    Apparently was written up wrong

    I sat there at the store and talked to the sales representative who listened to my office set up and that I needed a computer with solid state hardware to run a network with two computers. He showed me the hardware which I purchased along with the installation. The technician came at the appointment time and basically said that his work order was for a home system. He left without doing anything. My office network is still not installed and the equipment purchased from Best Buy unused. That is the current status and no one has been back.

    Shoulb simpler to program it

    I just cannot understand why the simplest thing these days, such as a phone, has to come with a humongous task to program as if almost is necessary to take a course in advance. Come on! This is just a phone, please, do not make it unnecessarily complicated. I gave up. I just plugged the darn thing and forgot about the rest, meaning I paid for things I do not use. To all phone manufacturers: Please make life simpler, no more complicated of already is. FA. km k

    I guess that this ADD-ON was for the printer. Who knows. If it was to connect the printer the cost is high at $74.99.

    Paid for set-up plus extra to make certain the printer worked with all my peripherals. All seemed ok but when later on, when I printed a photo, there was a scrape across the photo. Since it was defective I returned it, but the $200 I paid for set up and additional services was not credited even though the printer did not work properly.
