It's a 80's classic Great for adults & kids would.

I was so happy to see this movie on blue ray! I’m always looking for the older ones to add to my collection

Adventures In Babysitting is a true 80s classic. The story of an unexpected wild night out with a brother and sister, the brother's friend and of course, the babysitter. How much can happen in one night...you'll have to watch to find out. A very well done Blu Ray transfer makes this a must own.

We have this title in our collection. My daughters and grandchildren love this movie so much we bought a copy for each of them. Thanks to Best Buy's pricing, we could afford to do it!

Such a classic movie and gripping scenes... they look old now, but fun to show younger ones what time was like back then... especially pay phone scene! Lol

First watched this movie on ABC family I think, and I thought I would give it try. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. Such an adventure, comical, action-packed, and just a fun movie. Elisabeth Shue plays (Kris) the fun, sensible, and mature babysitter just trying to keep the kids alive in this action adventure while trying to pick up her friend. Each time, they run into strangers good and bad. I'm glad I bought it because it's a feel-good, adventure, comedy. Speaking of comical, is it just me or do the brother and sister and the friend Darrell remind you and look like Hermione Granger, Harry Potter w/o the glasses, and Ron Weasley from the books and movies. I noticed right away the looks, and the hair color I thought the resemblance was uncanny! Overall, the characters, story, and the different stars throughout the movie was great! What an adventure and the parents didn't even know! Love this 80's babysitting movie, let's face it babysitting is an adventure.

Don't even think of watching the new one, it will only ruin your Babysitting experience. This is a classic and no need to be remade.

It’s definitely worth a watch. The score is by the late Michael Kamen, and the lead actress is very pretty.

My wife and I enjoyed this movie so much that, with Best Buy's fantastic pricing, we could afford to buy a copy for my daughter and her family. Who hasn't experienced both being under the care of a teenage baby sitter in your youth and then, as teenagers themselves, working as a baby sitter to earn some much appreciated spending money. It has always been a "right of passage" from adolescence to the teen years and is usually the only opportunity for a 'first job'. However, this particular babysitting job suddenly becomes "An Adventure in Babysitting" when it slowly and continuously wends its way through hysterically funny and exciting twists and turns that will leave you laughing throughout all the unexpected situations and how each resolution brings on another more funnier and more challenging situation to overcome. Fortunately, the events of this fictional movie never occurred in our experiences but are the result of a great storyline, great writing and best of all a great and believable cast, led by Elisabeth Shue. This movie is guaranteed to tickle your funny-bone and could easily bring you your most unforgettable and enjoyable movie experience.

This movie brings back memories especially if your from Chicago since the movie was filmed there.

The bluray features a competent widescreen 1080p HD transfer, couple languages and nothing in the way of extras or special features. Despite being well shot, well paced, and perfectly cast, this movie probably doesn't really hold up. I think anyone under 30 will just have the wHy DiDn't tHeY uSe tHeiR smArTpHonEs mentality ruining what for some of us is a classic farcical tale lol, but if you grew up with this movie and have a nostalgic itch to scratch and don't care about extra documentaries or deleted scenes, this cheap and cheerful release is for you.

Got this during black friday and am pleased with it for the price I got it for and the overall quality of the picture and audio. Even though this is a dvd, they did a good job with the compression so there's not a lot of artifacting which is nice. The movie itself is a lot of fun and can be enjoyed with the whole family.
