I bought this headset for my grandson who goes through them like crazy. He says the sound is great on them and so far, has used them without any issues. I like the Afterglow styling and hope this one lasts longer than others purchased at comparable prices.

This headset works with the newer xbox controllers with the headset port directly on the bottom (or a stereo headset adapter, of course). I bought this to replace the second Microsoft headset that had failed for no good reason. I had to adjust the volume on the xbox higher to hear my friends talking, and also had to adjust up the in-line volume control, but can hear them fine now. I have to have the mic nearly touching my lips so my friends can hear me, so that is not perfect, but does work. Also let it be noted that the mute control is about 12-16 inches down from your ear, as in hanging. It is not ideal to quickly mute/unmute with a hanging/swinging in-line control. The control would have been much easier to use at the plug end near the controller, but that is a matter of preference. Also to note the plastic headband is somewhat tight on my adult sized head. I find myself putting the right side closer to the back of my head at an angle to reduce the "squeeze" pressure. I think this headset is good for the price, but is definitely not a permanent solution.

This headset is good for its price. It only has one earphone for the left side and mic on the same side. Only gives chat, not game sounds.

I went in to get a headset and spotted this one as it was lower prices and looked better than the official headset. I'm happy with it. Great quality. It's definitely not a $90-$100 one but well worth the low price

If your looking for a cheap good headset these will do. Have held up so far with no problems. Are comfortable just wish you could change ear side after awhile they can start to hurt.

Great value for these headphones. The one ear style allows you to hear ambient sound while communicating with playing partners. Great price too!

I was looking for a cheap and simple chat headset to replace the one that comes with the Xbox. This one was not expensive and sounds great. Chat audio is loud and clear. Any issues from reviews are probably people not going into the sound settings and increasing volume which wasn’t needed with the factory headset so people don’t know this option is there. The headset was a little snug at first but it broke in in short time and feels great. No complaints at all works great.

Needed a cheaper set as we don't use the mic an awful lot & these fit the bill. They are comfortable enough for extended wear & the mic works well, picking up what you want (your voice) & not much ambient noise from my noisy living room. Only con I've found is the lack of volume. The wheel is always on max & never quite gets as loud as I would like. For the price, these are pretty good.

Initially I was hesitant to have an over the ear headset only cover one ear. But I found it sounds good and it's quite comfortable.

The headset is pretty lightweight but sturdy enough to handle being worn by my 8 yr. old but, he kept complain about the cracking noise. Didn't hear it at first, annoyed me to have only one ear piece (my preference I guess). But it was the connection piece where it fits into the controller. After checking other controllers against this headset and this headset to other devices, I found the connection piece to be the issue. Some other controllers too but that's another review.. Quality discarded to rush new gaming system out to the store maybe? Main controller that came with the system had the biggest issue with that connection; it seems the connection port for audio/headsets was defective on the one we got. A second headset purchased elsewhere from RockCandy name or something worked reasonably better but is awkward to wear. He uses a rubberband on the XBOX headset around the connection piece and controller to prevent the crackling because he likes the way ithe XBOX headset feels better on his head. So we haven't taken it back. Little compromises I've been making switching to new gaming system and the investment in the games, accessories etc. I’ve been so very frustrated over XBOX quality on the ONE. Software wise it's usually the betier system. The games have had better selection, quality and overall useabilty if that makes sense in that EVERYONE has played with it. Again that's another review.

Bought it about 2 moths ago for a good price (on sale for approx. $10). It is comfortable and lightweight, and the microphone quality is great (I used it to call myself and leave myself a voicemail to check it out). Build quality seems sturdy enough--Though the expandable headband seems a little on the thin side. Some reviewers said it was too small to fit their heads, but it fits my medium-sized head with lots of room to spare (from expandable headband).
Some critical reviewers said that the microphone did not work. So I panicked when the microphone initially did not work. But after looking over the included documentation (which seems a little skimpy) I realized that it had shipped with the mute switch in the "on" position. Once I shut off the mute function, headset worked perfectly!

If you're like me and you would like to enjoy a nice set of speakers when you play Xbox One, you need a good Mono Headset. You're also in the minority of the headset gaming market. I will say that I like these more than the included headset that comes with the Console, but it's still not near as nice as I wish it was. It's not very comfortable, and you can only wear it on one side of your face (can't flip to left or right). Audio is good, but I wish it was a little more refined is all. I've had mine for a few months now with no issues. Also, the cord is a little too short. Just a bit. Other than that, it's a good option if you don't want the Turtle Beach mono headset that covers the ear entirely. This sits on the ear and allows you to hear your speakers and your buddies.
