Very powerful computer, but heavy to carry around. Best suited to be on a desk.

At $1,000 in late November 2025 this was a good value based on the recent spike in RAM prices. The RTX 5060 is a little power limited in this, but for games that aren't extremely graphically intensive you'll be fine.

Build quality isnt amazing. Plastic frame feels cheap, screen could be a bit brighter, and the sound quality could be better. Other than that it runs fine, not too loud or hot, and the specs are very decent. I would give it 3 stars, but I got it $400 off during a sale so the specs are great for the price.

I liked this computer with the blue hue but it was lagging on startup/launching my first game. Also did not like the keys - it felt super plasticy. The screen seemed very washed out compared to other models. It’s a good alternative for a budget but I would only get this if it’s on sale

When it comes to high-end gaming and video editing, Alienware has been my go-to brand for years, and I was expecting to be blown away by this Gaming Aurora 16’ as I always have with other models.
If you are a hard-core gamer, this is going to be ideal if not close to that. Yes, it uses an Intel Core 7, and the refresh rate is “only” 120Hz. Of course, I wish it was Core 9 and 240Hz to make me really happy, but I’ve become more realistic as I age. With 10 cores, 5.2 Ghz, and 32GB of DDR RAM, and a Nvidia RTX 5060 graphics card, there will be very few gamers disappointed. This is a powerhouse.
It was hard to notice any artifacts when playing any of the three demanding AAA titles I play most often proving that 120Hz is more than just a great start. Of course, the Nvidia delivering very smooth frame rates and excellent ray tracing is probably the main reason for the great experience. The images are not just clear, but also vibrant. Do I sound like a salesman? Maybe, but I was really impressed.
Even at my age (62), I still want the best gaming computer because I still love playing by myself or with my sons and daughters, and eventually with my grandkids when they are old enough. But to be honest, I don’t have that much time for gaming during the week. And here’s where my love for this Asus gets bigger. With all these capabilities, you shouldn’t be surprised that it is excellent for video editing, and you can trust that colors are very accurate, which is a must for this type of work.
While not completely quiet, I was surprised at how smooth the fans ran even after hours of playing. It seems to have a great cooling system because temperatures were kept at a decent level for this type of machine. Noise was only noticeable when there was not much going on around the house, but I am used to much noisier gaming laptops.
Call me shallow, but when it comes to computers I also care about looks and its sleek, futuristic style with an anodized aluminum build is mouthwatering. It screams premium. Very sleek and portable too.
While what I have to say is mostly positive, there were a few things that I was not overly impressed with. Brightness was one of them. When I played in our entertainment room or in my home office, it looked perfect, but when I moved to our patio to do some work, I wished it was brighter. Not too disappointing but it could be better.
The other “issue” is the weight if you’re traveling with it frequently. Personally, I don’t want a gaming computer when I’m traveling either for business or personal reasons, but some people may not have another computer. Almost 6 lbs is not exactly lightweight.
My overall experience was excellent, and I would recommend it even to the most hard-core gamers out there. Yeah, I’m still dreaming about the Intel 9 core model, but I’m just being greedy and probably not worth the extra cost. This machine runs just about any game or demanding application, and it truly impressed me.
