I purchased this Alienware m16 R2 as an open-box “Excellent” unit from Best Buy. From early on, the experience was already disappointing due to multiple driver and software issues. During normal usage, I repeatedly ran into unstable or problematic driver updates, issues after Windows / Dell driver updates, and inconsistent system behaviour requiring troubleshooting. USB ports and WiFi drivers were the most common issues. This already made the laptop feel unreliable for a so-called premium gaming device. Then, without any warning, the laptop suddenly powered off and never turned on again. No lights, no response, completely dead. This is a catastrophic hardware failure, most likely motherboard or power delivery related. The fact that this device suffered from both ongoing software instability and a complete hardware failure raises serious concerns about Alienware’s quality control. For a high-end laptop at this price point, this level of unreliability is unacceptable. I would not recommend this model to anyone looking for a stable, dependable gaming or work laptop, especially for it's hefty price.

Love it. I upgraded the ram in the laptop and it is even better. The screen looks fantastic.

Exactly like the title says. For the power you get at the price, you cannot complain. Complaints of overheating are not going to happen; the fans are intense. Very pleased with this purchase.
