Worst computer ever!! Bought it for Christmas and not even 2 months later the W key is broken. 3 months later the charger is no longer working. For such a reputable company, cost for this computer, and hype around alien ware computers… this is a complete waste of money. Complete junk! Very disappointed and will never buy Dell again!

Laptop randomly pops up blue screen and shuts down. The face recognition barely works. I have tried to restart and reset the entire system multiple times. Nothing seems to work. I had this laptop for 2 months and it never left my desk. There is no physical damage on the device.

Not sure what I expected from Dell, honestly. This thing has so much bloatware and won’t function correctly without it. I’m currently factory resetting it so I can return it. I’d rather just not have a laptop than have all of this garbage.

Nice easy to read display. 240hz refresh rate really is better on eyes. It runs most of my games at 100fps or higher. The built in fans are not intrusively loud but you can hear them speed up which sounds like a quiet blower fan. There is a problem with the built in Alienware Command Center. Once exiting the game it won't revert keyboard lights back to default. Dell is looking into it. The A03 sound driver is faulty causing intermittent dropouts of sound requiring a reboot each time. rolled back to A02 which then it seemed to work normal. These are software issues and not really anything Best Buy can help with. Only the OOB hardware. 5 stars for performance and quality. Some give 4/5 for heating but I have had many laptops that get warm to the touch. It's just a fact of life with powerful laptops. If your laptop isn't warm while working, then it's not very powerful in comparison. This laptop has 2 GPU's. one is Intel Arc with 128MB VRAM the other is Nvidia RTX 4070 with 8GB dedicated VRAM. The cpu is a Intel Core Ultra 7 155H with 16 cores 22 logical processors. This cpu is more than adequate for X-Plane 12 because this flight simulator is cpu load intensive. GPU isn't used as hard, Same goes for Elite Dangerous. Racing games like Assetto Corsa work really well with a high 100+ FPS. Crisp and clear graphics. This game is what the 240hz refresh rate comes in handy. If you are used to 60hz refrsh rate then 240hz is going to take a week or so for your eyes to adjust. You may feel some slight headache but that goes away.

It sucks if it don't work! Bought the premium warranty from Dell and 6 mos later the sound went out. They say that they will fix immediately. Well their idea and immediately is miles from my definition. Called them on Monday of last week got jerked around (reloading the OS (2) and them going through the system too many times for them to finally admit that they needed tier 3 support. That was on Thursday. Then got told I'd get a reply Tuesday! I'm a student with lectures that I've got to watch with sound. They just don't care! Don't buy - If you do get best buys warranty!

Would not recommend as the temp jist idling is around 80 degrees c then when you open a game jumps to 100. I jad to emable tcc jist to keep temps down. Poor build quality the ethernet port snaps off easily had to buy a new usb connected ethernet port. Cant hardly upgrade anything on it without having to send it dell or computer shop.

I Purchased this gaming laptop a week ago, it comes with 1 year on site service and repair. Im already having display issues. Computer wont Boot correctly, This is in no way best buys fault, but it has to do with dell/alienware. After speaking with customer service they (which is in india, and difficult to communcate) they told me my onsite repair cant he done, and that I need to ship it back to dell which could put me without a computer for 2 months. I told them no and I want a refund instead, all of a sudden they can send a on site technican out to do the repair, I was told I recieved an email before the call ended with scheduling for the tech to come out. I still havent gotten that email, Ill end up returning this. After some research It appears this is a common issue with a lot of different alienware products.
