I love my WiFi Radio I've connected my music accts and can stream all day. The alarm wake up is also good too.

I purchased two of these for my daughter and for a friend. So far they reeeeeeally like 'em! They are very portable (light weight!) and so my friend takes hers out to the garden when she is working back there and my daughter takes her's out on the patio and it does just fine. The WiFi reception works quite well, so no complaints there. The battery lasts several hours and neither party has complained to me about a single thing. It is a great little radio! As with any gift, I included the extended warranty for piece of mind. It was inexpensive and as I said, both radios are gifts and I wanted to give them piece of mind. I doubt it will be needed but it is there if they have a problem. If you have a Pandora account, this is for you! Same with SiriusXM! If not, fear not! There are quite literally thousands of stations out there that are free, including terrestrial stations in your are that you may be unable to receive over a normal AM/FM radio due to your location. I will be honest in that Grace Digital (also sold by Best Buy) are my favorite brand of Internet Radio but this Aluratek unit is simply a great little radio and I have zero problem recommending it to anyone. After all, I gave two of them as gifts. No better recommendation than that!

Recently bought this via the deal of the day. For a small tabletop device you will get the sound that you would expect though it does offer a jack to connect externals speakers (which I have tried and found the sound to be fair). Another great feature is that it has a rechargeable battery so you can take it to go. Driven by an android type operating system, on line music streaming choices are plenty and does many additional app features you can simple download to the device via the app store. Great customer service at Aluratek, as I recently had issues connecting to my Sirius XM app- they were helpful in getting my problem solved. This radio won't fill the room with sound but would be perfect for a desk or small room. Highly recommend giving it a try!

It has the ability to access the leading social media sites but it's not worth the bother since they take up too much memory and without a way to install an antivirus they would be vulnerable. One time the touch screen froze while I was streaming through TuneIn and I couldn't do anything with it other than unplug it and wait a couple hours or so for the internal battery to drain. Once I plugged it back in again it was OK.

light, small, not expensive, portable and good sound

This is really just an android device built into a speaker with 11 watts of power including a subwoofer. The selection of radio stations gives it a 4 star. To be 5 star, it should unleash the play store to add more apps, silence the humming, when not playing, and have more speaker power. If you want a portable internet radio within wifi range, this is for you. I got it on sale here for the $60+ price.

I love this radio. Using my music apps. and my MP3's on it is excellent. It has a pretty nice sound to it but it's not very loud which is OK with me for my purposes. It shows the weather on it which is pretty cool and the built in battery lasts for hours of play time. It also has a stylish look to it and it is easy to operate.

I really like that you can charge it and take into another room. You can download different apps, however with limited storage, you need to pick and choose what you want. It has a good sound volume a small room. My only complaint is that it can uncharge fairly quick.

This product has good and clear sound but it sometimes lags on start up and freezes up due to a low amount of memory. It has a easy to use touch screen and charges quickly. It runs about 4 hour on a charge.

Great wi-fi radio. My only problem is that it comes with very few instructions and yet has many advanced features. After playing with it for a while we got the basics set up and are enjoying the music. Speakers are not great but not horrible either. This is an excellent option for streaming music without the need of another device.

I'd never heard of Aluratek before, but at this cheap a price ($55) I figured it was worth a try to get a little tabletop radio. Well, I tried...and I took it back. The unit is very obviously the functional equivalent of a low-end tablet, about the size of a smartphone, running a custom (crippled) version of Android. And I do mean LOW-END. It was unbearably slow to execute any commands. It very often seemed like I hadn't touched it at all when I realized it was just so slow to respond that it was near-unusable. The crippled Android means you have a limited number of ways to find the webcast you want to play. If your favorite radio station isn't listed in one of the apps the unit has? Tough luck, you ain't listening to it. No way to manually enter a URL for a webcast, either. Plus it was buggy as heck - for example, I put in my local weather in Rhode Island but it kept reverting to the weather in Los Angeles. Ummm, okay? I did eventually manage to get it connected to my wifi and then play my radio station. And after all that, the sound is pretty weak. I didn't expect much - these are very small speakers - and it delivered what I expected. Quite frankly, given how anyone who'd want a wifi radio like this almost certainly has a smartphone, you're better off just getting a decent bluetooth speaker (there are some for $50 out there, not great but decent) and playing a webcast that way. It'll be easier, more flexible (important as time passes and apps that work today may become hopelessly outdated within a few years) and will sound better anyways. I won't say this is total crap. It did eventually work for me, although it took some effort. It's just that there's better ways to accomplish the same goal for most folks, and at the same price.

It is easy to set up and use, and it has really good sound! I am very happy with it. It is also portable which I did not know; it charges up so it is easy to move around the house without constantly having to be at an electrical plug!

The look of the system is attractive with a small footprint. The sound for a table radio is adequate. I purchased it primarily to listen to distant radio stations The tunein app, A FANTASTIC app, works well with no issues. There is a known 'bug' that the home screen cannot be changed. It shows Los Angelos and will not accept a new location. I contacted the company and they are aware of the problem. The environment appears to be locked down with little ability to change configuration. I have NOT loaded any files to the product as yet. For the price I paid, it a a good deal.

My first Aluratek - Indoor/Outdoor Wi-Fi Internet Radio had a dead touch screen. Sent it back and got another to replace it. But this one could not hold the WiFi signal. Too bad since this device did everything I wanted and had a really attractive design.

Despite the fact that it can't play an added mp3 ringtone, I still like it's sound and it's ability to play downloaded music. A comprehensive online manual would also be a useful addition.
