Most of the time no matter if bluetooth and or wifi is on the carplay always conncects but the volume controls do not. I can make a call and adjust the volume then. But when listening to music or using the maps i csn not adjust the volume.

The unit always booted up and connected right away but more often than not my volume control wouldn’t work from the steering wheel or the head unit itself (factory). I even reset my phone thinking that was the issue. I’d have to unplug it and put it back in 3-4 times before I got the functionality back. Id rather deal with a cable than this. Returned.

The volume was always on full Number 10. I own a 2022 4runner. It might work on your car

Sometimes you’ll have to disconnect and reconnect just so the volume control in your car sync with the Carplay. Overall way better than using cable

The unit did smell like electronics as it got pretty warm with notmal use. After that it started taking a few seconds to connect to, once connected it gad many issues. Volume wouldnt move from 0, screen was just black. Rebooting the device seemed to fix it for the next connection, but quickly returned to glitch mode. Lucky i returned immediately. I would not recommend this product. Sad cause its a great idea.

Apple Play not compatible with all cars
