This is the 2nd time I have submitted a review as the first one was not posted. This is the worst dryer and the worst service, do not buy Whirlpool products. I called for service because it is not drying my clothes. Sometimes I am drying the loads 3 or more times on HIGH heat for the max time before they even feel dry. MANY reviews are noting the same thing on here! I was told I had to do an at home test first before they would come to my home to service. I was sent a kit 10 days after I called for service. Prior to this I had the maintenance company for my complex come in and check all vents. They did a cleaning of everything outside of the dryer just to make sure it was not anything besides the dryer that is an issue. I tried the kit and nothing. Why am I doing so much extra work for something that is supposed to be under warranty??? Unless you are bored and have all the time in the world to deal with Whirlpool/Amana's incompentcy, buy another dryer.

We just needed a washer and dryer for our apartment and didn't want to spend a lot. The only reason why I rate it so low is the highest heat setting only runs a little over 60 minutes. Sometimes we can only fill it half full if we have heavy clothes/linens to dry.

We purchased this dryer after our Whirlpool dryer of 17 years finally went out. It came on fine but the timed dry didn't work. So after the dryer running for 3 hours straight, the dryer was still going and the timer hand hadn't moved. Then we realized the dryer wasnt even getting hot. The air was completely cool and it wasn't the cool down cycle. We returned it.
