Will NEVER buy Amana again! Disappointed in product!

Only have had the dryer less than a month and the motor went bad.

Installation was poor. Did not properly install the vent

dryer barely lasted for two years i repaired twice

It’s not working I wan a chinge it very very bed produced

Worst dryer I have ever had. Takes 2 cycles to dry all the way.

Dryer works well, but dryer door won't stay open. After 2 years it started to make wierd noise when spinning.

2 yrs 5 months after purchase the dryer stopped working. It would not do anything.

Large capacity, drys clothes well with near no wrinkles, controls and door seem cheaply made though, still a food value.

It's a very basic dryer with not a lot of options; however, that's all I really need. It has a ruined dryer for towels, etc, a medium setting for most clothing needs, and a low heat option for delicates .The interior is large and fits big loads, and the opening is much larger than my previous dryer so it's easier to load. It's also very quiet.

This review is mostly about the customer service, and just how smooth everything went with Best Buy, than the dryer itself. Sunday afternoon our dryer breaks. We have a toddler, and can't do without a dryer. Found this Amana, for as low a price as anywhere, in stock and ready for curbside pick-up the same day. 45 mins later I'm driving home with the new dryer. I was really happy. And the dryer works great. Really quiet. Pleased.

I've had this dryer for 3 yrs now. I can agree that the complaints on the heating element are valid. I've had to replace mine twice, but we just order it off Amazon and replace it ourselves. It's annoying, but not too expensive. And as long as I'm drying a regular size load I have no issues. This dryer is not meant for large loads. The only time I have to run the dryer for extra time is when I'm drying towels. All in all, I am very pleased with the dryer.

Absolutely love this dryer, actually accidentally ordered it not realizing it wasn’t a gas dryer, lol, I’ve never had an electric dryer before, it matches my Amana Washer and the price was excellent, so I thought I’d give it a “spin” (pun intended) and it dries just as good as a gas dryer, but feels safer now without gas turned on and is actually more quiet!

For some reason it's not showing me as a verified buyer but I bought this Amana with the matching washer a few weeks ago. I wanted a simple, low-tech washer and dryer that would just do its job without any bells and whistles. This fit the bill. So far it dries well and I have no complaints. Drying a full washer full of clothes (towels, jeans, t-shirts) takes about an hour if you set it on the "most dry" setting like I do. My dryer had a small dent in the side upon delivery, and Best Buy offered me 10% off, which was nice. If you want a basic dryer this is a great option.

This dryer is simple to operate and is a real work horse.

We bought this dryer once our old dryer started requiring 2-3 cycles at the highest temp to dry a modest load of towels. We're blown away by how much better this dryer works than our old one. This is a large capacity for a dryer in this price range. Even with a full load of towels, we ca still use the eco-friendly setting and the towels still come out dry after a single cycle. The dryer is also relatively quiet compared to our old dryer. You may be able to get a unit that runs quieter or handles a slightly bigger load of laundry...but not at this price point. Well worth the money. I'd buy the same brand again.

Decent, basic dryer for the money. Dries clothes well, small enough depth at 28.5 inches for smaller laundry areas like mine. Last Amana dryer lasted 17 years, but that was before they were bought by Whirlpool. Cons: No light in basket, no buzzer to tell you when clothes are done.
