Excellent basic dryer. Nothing fancy, but all the usual controls. including an energy saver setting. Lint trap up top is much better than our old one that sat just outside the drum, where lint escaped past the trap or stuck to the door.

This dryer gets the job done, my old one had a heating element replaced, but I still had to dry loads multiple times, so I know that something else was wrong. I bought this one because I bought a fancy washer and it's garbage - kept it simple this time and I'm SO happy with the dryer.

Replaced an older Whirpool dryer which no longer was getting hot enough for the job, had the same features as this, and this has all you need. Always dries in one load. I have a dog, and this also does a good job trapping/removing lint from clothes, in combo with a fabric softener sheet.

Our 20 year old dryer took 2 cycles to dry clothes the AMANA in about 25 minutes already showing a savings on my electric bill

Dryer works great, sometimes the lint sheets stick to the vent in the dryer which could cause a fire so that's really the only issue.

Great washing and dryer. It cleans well it cleans great and the dryer is nice and hot

Dish dryer works good had it for about 3 1/2 years before the dryer stop getting hot or you have to do is just replace the part

We purchased the Amana Dryer (& Washer) about 5 years ago. It has been perfect, ZERO complaints. It's made in the USA and is a GREAT dryer for the price. NO frills, but it has everything you need to get the job done and has held up really well.

Bought this for a rental unit and have had no complaints from my tenants. Happy to have no head aches with the purchase.

Good quality for the price. No complaints after two years. If you open the dryer early your clothes will be HOT. So let it do the cool down cycle to get rid of excess heat in your house

For its price point I have to give it 5 stars, because it does what it is supposed to do. Automatic dry with low heat is not good. Cloths don't dry completely in this more. Automatic high heat mode works well. I never had to use timed dry. Its a good basic dryer. No fancy stuff.

After my 10 year old version of this dryer (and matching washer) started to fail (transmission in the washing machine), it seemed like an easy decision in buying the current version (my old pair had been trouble free right up until the end). I was concerned that the washing machine would be less reliable given the more complex auto-fill water level system. Well, a little over a year later, and the dryer has been the issue. Shortly after purchasing, it started making rumbling noises (audible throughout the house). I live in an area of about 250k people, but Amana (whirlpool) sent a technician from 85 miles away..... Two visits later, and the rumble noise is gone (he had to replace the rollers), but it still has a rattle (sounds like a loose screw). It's annoying, but not worth the hassle of having someone back out. Now, just a couple of months out of warranty, the timer module died. The dryer still runs, but it will not shut itself off. Thankfully, I'm handy enough to diagnose the issue, order the part ($70), and swap it myself, but I shouldn't be having this much issue with such a new dryer (and we're just a family of 2, so it's not seeing heavy use). The matching washing machine has been fine, other than the agitator coming unbolted (sounded like the machine was self-destructing). Thankfully, that was a 5 minute fix. Sadly, the quality of this pair just isn't the same as my previous duo....

Good price for basic dryer, but auto sensor doesn't work correctly - have to run everything on the timed function

You get what you pay for. What I paid for was a basic dryer for a basic price, which is exactly what I wanted. What I didn't want was to have to run the dryer through 2-3 cycles to get my clothes dry. It takes on average of 2 hours to dry one load of laundry that comes from the matching washer. Disappointed and considering returning it.

All clothing is dry after use and is perfect for household needs.

I have had the washer and dryer set for 4 years and it has held up longer than I expected!
