went to dry some close on high heat / timed and went to bed. Next morning it was still running. Dial didn't move and there was no heat. Fixing will cost a minimum of $300. Heading out now to look for something different.

Good, not great. I guess the brand is not very reliable, but it's not Best Buy fault

My parents purchased this dryer for me a few years ago. I was very happy with it when I first got it, but within a year, it became loud and clunky. The felt strip towards the back of the drum started to come off, and my clothes were getting stuck in the crack. I took it apart to replace that, and realized that 1 of the rollers was completely flat on one side, which is what caused the clunking noise. When I went to remove it to have it replaced, it was stuck. It was unable to spin and it had to be pried off. I have had to open up and replace parts in this dryer at least once a year. Despite replacing the rollers, felt strip, belt, and making sure the dryer is level, it is STILL clunking. This is by far the loudest and most problematic dryer I have ever had. On top of the clunking, it's now started making a scraping/grinding sound upon starting. The only good thing, is that parts I've replaced have been fairly cheap and easy to do.

It worked for a few years. I live alone, so I don't use ir as much as a normal family. The timed dials stopped working, the heat sometimes doesn't work, and the installer was horrible.

I am writing this review after the dryer has stopped drying for at least the fourth or fifth time. I just looked at my purchase history and was shocked to find that I only owned the dryer for four years! I thought I had it for much longer due to the numerous disappointments and money spent on laundromat dryers.

We purchased our dryer several months ago. We had only had the dryer for a few weeks or maybe a month. We noticed the white finish on the drum was flaking off. The finish continues to flake, so obviously there was a design flaw somewhere. We contacted Best Buy and they would not consider helping us since we didn't buy "their protection plan." Since when do you need to pay "extra" insurance when the product is faulty? We contacted Amana also. Because they said it would not affect the performance, they weren't willing to do anything either. How do we know it won't affect the performance down the road? Consequently, I will no longer purchase any Amana product, and I will no longer shop at Best Buy.

Simple to operate, good price. Just what I wanted.

Love the large drum for bulky items; lots of options for an appliance of this price.

I purchased the washer and dryer set in August and received it August 29, 2015. I did not purchase the Geek Squad warranty because I planned to buy another more expensive brand within the year (the period covered by the manufacturer's warranty). I am really upset that today (November 29, 2015) after only 90 days the dryer has stopped working properly and while it heats it does not tumble. Then to top it off, I called the manufacturer and they are closed today! I read the reviews and most people said it was great. Of course reviews are great if you just bought the product. I will never buy another product made by this company!

Good washer for about 2 years then slowly died. So if economy and buying new every 2 1/2 years is your thing go for it. If you want something that lasts I'll have to let you know what I find.

Originally when we purchased this dryer we had high hopes due to Amana being a quality brand throughout our household growing up. Well, you betcha we were totally wrong. The dryer stopped producing heat within a 2.5 year span. This is a complete waist of money, no wonder they offer a 3 year warranty because they knew this dryer would lack the customer satisfaction and great quality other brands possess.

I purchased it in 2020. When it's working it does a decent job of drying clothes. However this is the second time I have to call in a repair. It's always the same problem. No heat. If you're buying one, you'd better get a Geek Squad plan. When my plan runs out, I will spend the extra money and get an LG.

4.5 years later, doesn't shut off during cool down (2 years now, i just deal with it) and now, doesn't heat up. Vent is clean machine to outside. Never again too many issues with less than 5 years on the unit.

Purchased this dryer 3 years ago from Best Buy. The first year I had at least 3 service calls on the unit. The dryer would never dry a complete load of clothes without setting the cycle at least twice, sometimes 3 times. After the warranty expired I just dealt with the poor drying feature. Now, the dryer is not heating at all. I noticed most reviews are good on this product, but my purchase is obviously a lemon. The cheap plastic door handle even broke. I found a replacement at Amazon for $5 bucks. I own the Amana Side by side fridge. It's been a good unit, so I tried the dryer. Big mistake.

Stop working soon after I purchased it... I have to tape down the start button for it to work. Get the protection plan if you are going to purchase

Bought this dryer in April and has worked fine, being that it was cheap. Takes really long to dry clothes which was fine with me as we don’t run a lot of loads through it. But now in February after not even a year of use it’s broken and making a noise while it runs like it came apart and sounds like coins rolling around in there. The drum won’t even spin right without making a noise, just save your money and buy a more reliable dryer or you’ll be buying another one soon enough anyways.

Love my dyer works likes a charm. Would buy it again.
