This dryer seems like a standard use dryer with no frills. I'm a little concerned in that we use our dryer quite a bit but I have my fingers crosses that it will stand the test of time.

Literally one year and one day after delivery this loud piece of junk broke! What a great Black Friday Deal! Our household consist of two adults, we do not dry huge loads of clothes/towels. We consistently switch between the higher and lower heat settings. I would NOT recommend this product at all, spend more money if you can and purchase a higher quality dryer. I would give it 0 stars if what was an option.

60 min on high heat and a small load of clothes isn't dry? Really????? You get what you pay for!!!!!! Buyer beware. (Washer broke in 2 weeks also) Cheap and poorly made products.

The first Amana dryer I received had to be returned the next day when I discovered the top lid above the dryer was not bolted down. So, you could literally lift it, and see all of the wiring & everything on the inside. And, it had two very noticeable dents in it. The second one I received (appx a week later) was fine cosmetically, but the heating element stopped working after 6 months. It is still under the one year manufacturer's warrant. But, I am having a hard time getting assistance from with correcting this. Don't waste your money!

It dries good but after a year the timer knob stopped working. If I set it at 60 minutes it just stays, does not move and the dryer will run until we open the door and stop it. Spend a little bit more money and buy from a better brand.

I bought this dryer around three years ago, and the motor gave out just over a year with normal use for two people and a baby. I bought a replacement certified factory oem replacement motor for $150 to fix it, and I installed it myself which worked despite being insanely loud until recently. The motor has now gone out again with minimal use. Amana are your dryer motors designed to stop working after a year and a half, because it certainly seems this way? I now have the choice of buying another motor doubling the original price of the dryer, or getting a different manufacturer model that's not going to break in a year! I have never had an issue like this with any dryer in the past. Stay away if you need it to last more than a year!

This dryer is horrible. You will have to dry your clothes 3 or more times each time. The lint trap makes the lint go behind the trap so it falls right back into your dryer. When that happens you will have to dry your clothes about 6 full cycles before it barely dries. I bought my dryer brand new and three years later I'm on the market for a new dryer. My neighbor has the same exact one and she has the exact same problem.

When I saw it at the store, great features for a terrific price. Worked great for about three months. I even recommended it to friends. Then it would only heat one cycle at a time. The dryer had to completely cool before it would heat to dry a second load or even completely dry the first load. I have had 3 repairs from Best Buy. None of the repairs fixed the problem. Now it is out of warranty and it is my problem. Bad product with no support even when under warranty. So sorry I wasted my money.

Hate this dryer so much. The latch is SO LOUD, every time you open or close the door, it sounds like you’re slamming it. The auto-sensor doesn’t work and the dryer will run forever. As in it won’t turn off until you manually turn it off. After less than two months, the drum got off centered somehow and is crazy loud during the drying cycle.

This dryer is complete trash. It doesnt dry unless you have 1 shirt in there. And it better be silk. Hasnt worked well since brand new. You have to dry your clothes 4 or more times to get them dry. Or do it one piece at a time

It takes more than an hour to dry a load. After the dryer stops, I have to go back and restart it again to dry a single load

Please do not buy this dryer. I've had this dryer for 2 weeks and it started to make a very loud noise like metal grinding on metal. I am calling Best Buy to have it picked up and returned.

I bought this Jan 2021. It's now March 12th 2021. This dyer hasn't dried properly since day 1. The repair guy came out and said it needs parts. I have called for months only to be told the parts are not available yet. I just got off the phone with them again. Note to BestBuy. You are horrible!!! I've paid for a broken dryer and you will not fix or replace it!!!

I would have agreed with everyone that it did an adequate job & I was ok with it, for the money until... it stopped working out of the blue, after less than 4 years Not heavily used at all! Needs new terminal block kit & power cord for $176! I'm shopping for a new rather than put more into this piece of junk.

I am currently on my 3rd replacement after every one I own stopped blowing hot air after a few months. Their customer service is terrible as well and offers no apology on their faulty product. When I explained it should be recalled considering all the negative feedback I have seen, they said they were "looking into it" Do. Not. Buy.

My thoughts were dryers last at least 10 years, this one not so much...purchased 8/22/16. After several botched deliveries we finally get it. THEN, less than 3 years in it just suddenly decides it will not start! We get an appt for someone to take a look at it, $85+ tax for a diagnostic PLUS labor oh but Amana will cover parts...did I mention that we have had it less than 3 years?!?!

Installed 1/16/22. Used until 11/20/22 for single elderly woman until she moved out. When we went to use the dryer again 9/1/23 it will not heat and will not automatically cut off.
