Does everything the Echo does but in a smaller package.

The amazon dot was an amazing gift for a friend. Perfect for keeping her up to date on news, weather, and music. It’s portabikity, and durability make for a great product. Also, the sleekness makes it easy to pair with home decor.

Me and my kids always have fun talking to Alexa, asking questions, and getting quick answers without having to grab your phone or PC to google things. So easy to use and great sound when hooked up to external speaker

I've never quite understood the allure of voice-controlled devices, but Amazon got it right and has made one that's actually extremely appealing. It's easy to use, it's fun, it's - most importantly - incredibly accurate and it can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be. I use it with the Harmony Hub from Logitech and being able to turn on all my electronics and get all the inputs in the right place just by saying a few words to Alexa is what home automation should be: easy. I'm very impressed. At this price? No brainer.

I got the Dot to supplement my Amazon Echo. I wasn't sure I needed it but although they say that the Echo can hear from all over, it really can't. It depends how far you are and how loud the surroundings are (ie. television or stereo on or even if the Echo is playing music itself). With the little Echo Dot, it can do everything the Echo can however the sound isn't as good but it's not that bad. It works for where I have it... in my bedroom... to also operate the lamps on the night stands on either side of my bed with voice commands. Love it...!!!

I got the Echo for Christmas and wanted to add Dot in another room. The Dot is great and love how it works with my Phillips Hue and SmartThings.

This is a great little device. I have these scattered through the house and they control almost everything in my smart home. I love them!!

Alexa is hands down the most intuitive virtual assistant on the market. From giving me weather, news and traffic updates in the morning to playing Jeopardy with the family. Alexa also controls all of my Nest smart home devices.

Alexa is 2 years ahead of Anything else like Google home. Incredibly easy to use and connects with most everything. The dot also sounds good.

the best part is the size and you can do a lot of question whith out reed .i can listen music with out walk and ajust cables or tune a reciver

Easy to install and pair with your fav speaker. Fully integrates with my insteon and nest devices. I really like using it with the audible app.
