While this does have the negative that it has to be connected to power, it has made streaming much faster for us! It also does require the volume to be slightly higher than the streaming apps directly on our tv, but that may be an issue with the tv itself and not this firestick. Definitely recommend!

Remote control has additional buttons useful when watching live tv.

Roku Ultra blows Fire TV Stick out of the water. Now, to be fair, I should compare the Roku Ultra to the Fire TV Cube, but the Cube is mainly for the additional smart device features I don't need, so I cannot comment. Roku was one of the first players in the streaming device space, and we should reward that. The big sharks like Amazon, Apple and Google simply eat up the innovators. So, I like supporting Roku, in addition to it having the best interface.
