    Thought I was just going to have to plug this into my TV sign it into my WIFI and be good to go but I am being promted for so much information its ridicoulus! I have it still sitting in the box 2 months later, I dont have the time nor the desire to deal with this... but also no time to get to a best buy to return it... I am sure its great once it is set up but this is going to probably given to someone as a gift or donated and buy soemthing else

      Thank you for your feedback on the Fire TV Stick 4K streaming device. I am sorry to hear about the issues you are having with setup. That sounds frustrating. The process does take 5-10 minutes to complete depending on the amount of apps you want to install initially and whether you have an Amazon account already. It's worth noting that once this initial setup is complete, turning on and using the Fire TV Stick in the future is much quicker. I hope you give it one more try, the effort will be worth it.     remote disconnects

    Frequently the remote would not connect to the firestick. I would have to unplug the firestick for about 30 seconds the pair the remote and firestick.

    It works great, but it doesn’t even have a sleep timer. Even paired with my Alexa it won’t turn off the Tv. I wish I had known that I would have ordered an older version. I can’t tell any difference between this one and the one I paid half as much for.

      You can fix this by creating a routine in your Alexa App with the device! Go to settings and routines and input what times you are wanting the TV to turn off!

    This device had a defect so returned it. But otherwise, FireTV stick is better than other streaming devices. The Internet app for browsing was continuously stuck while playing.

    Firestick Woes

    Other than having more memory, this Firestick isn't worth the trouble. When streaming, the voices are out of sync, no matter which streaming service I'm using, it doesn't do it on the two other older Firesticks I'm using, it kicks off my blue tooth headphones out of the blue and doesn't allow me to clear the Cache. I've tried all the recommended routes to fix these problems to no avail. It's a total headache. I wasted my money on this product.

It does sound like you have done a lot of exploring on your own to troubleshoot this and have definitely tried a few options I would have suggested. The last 2 things I would offer is to try to ensure that you have the latest software version. You can find this by navigating to Settings>Device Software and Options>About>Check for Updates. If this isn't the issue, then you can also do a factory reset from that same route in Device Software and Options. Once factory reset, you can see if setting it back up again resolves the issues. If it does not, you can always reach out to Amazon Customer Support at 888.280.4331 to troubleshoot further or explore what other options are available to you.     All my tvs in my house we use firesticks or fire tv. My only gripe is the firesticks at least once a week i have to restart because it freezes up. When it works it's great only does 60hz as well not 120 i also looked at the cube and it as well only does 60 so mine as well buy this one as it's less expensive

Here are some troubleshooting steps: Unplug the Fire TV Stick power cord or adapter. Wait three seconds. Plug it back in again. To stop it from freezing, clear your cache in "Settings" → "Applications" → "Manage Installed Applications" → select an app. Press the rewind button to clear.
