I'm sorry to hear about this compatibility issue, especially since you were able to play these files on your 1st Gen device. While the Fire TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen) offers many improvements, I understand how disappointing it is to lose functionality you previously had. For the best possible audio experience with your high-resolution files, I recommend checking that your audio settings are optimized: go to Settings > Display & Sound > Audio and ensure you have the highest quality output selected for your setup.
