I have paid for one or two, but mostly I just get the free download ones!! I went into the sun, and unlike the "fruit type pad" it is just like reading a book and I CAN ACTUALLY SEE WHAT I AM READING!!! This is an amazing invention and I wish I had had one when I was in Nursing school!!!!

It doesn’t have the warmth lighting setting but I’ve had no problem with it hurting my eyes and I’ve stayed up hours reading at night! The matcha color is also the cutest!

There are only a few negatives: sometimes my wifi will disconnect, and I have to re-enter my password, my Kindle Library does not auto sync all the time, and sometimes it will lag when I am looking for books on the Kindle Store. But overall, if you can push through minor bugs its a great purchase!

We appreciate you bringing up the occasional wifi disconnection, library sync issues, and lag in the Kindle Store. These minor bugs can definitely be frustrating, and we understand how they can interrupt your reading flow. Here are a few quick tips that might help:
For wifi disconnections, try forgetting and re-adding your network in Settings > Wi-Fi & Bluetooth
For library sync issues, you can manually sync by going to Settings > Sync My Kindle
For Store lag, restarting your Kindle occasionally can help improve performance

I would like to upgrade to a colored one in the next year or 2. But this is great for now. I am glad that I started with this one with the price and not knowing for sure if I would even enjoy reading from a screen and not a paper book. I am glad that I purchased it.
