This thing is a BEAST! I got this to rebuild my old monster AMD unit that originally sported the infamous FX9590 5.0ghz nuclear reactor of a CPU. It only took 6 years, but finally, something has interested me enough to force an upgrade. That something is the 3900X. As you can all probably guess, this thing blows the old 9590 out of the water. Plus, I don’t need to nearly burn down my house to do so! I’m mainly using it to render cineform 5.6k 360 video, and it does it with ease. Temps never exceed 80c with my 240mm AIO, even under heavy load and stress tests. I’ve had no issues running premiere pro, fusion360, and simplify3d all at once. If you are doing any type of creative or production work, I highly recommend this CPU!

This processor was worth the wait. The 3900x replace my Intel i7 4770k. It was a night and day difference. I build this PC for longevity and I believe this cpu will last many years. I highly recommend this Ryzen CPU.

Works as advertised. Hitting 4.6 ghz on 6 of the 12 cores and 4.3 on the remaining 6 cores. Temps are low 60’s under full load on water.

This 12 core CPU is an absolute beast. I was shocked that I was able to purchase this item at MSRP at Best buy. Other place was basically price gouging the hell out of this CPU because of high demand. I'm encoding movies just as fast via CPU vs GPU now. It's mind blowing.

As a lifelong Intel fanboy, I bought this CPU to be the centerpiece of my new build. The performance is everything you could hope for and then some. Attached is a benchmark of my build including this processor with stock speeds. As you can see, the CPU is at the top of the charts.

April of 2020 was going to become my introduction to the AMD processor platform, having upgraded from a personal i7-4790k PC originally put together in 2015. Right out of the gates, the Ryzen 9 3900X blew away my expectations and has converted me into a die-hard fan of AMD. Great CPU for gaming, content creation, and streaming. It might be a little bit on the more expensive side but this is among the top enthusiasts-grade CPU's on the market.

This is an affordable MONSTER my new pc crushes 6k raw video editing with this powerhouse cpu Should be called the 12 core video editing destroyer 8 min renders for a 10 min 6k video, do that with your 9900k Pcie 4.0 nvme , 4.0 pcie gpu. Whats not to love

    Thing's an absolute monstrosity

Paired it with an ASUS X570 TUF Gaming (Wifi) motherboard with 32Gb of DDR4 3200 RAM and a Radeon RX 5700 XT 50th Anniversary Edition, you know, just to stick it to the Man. Thing's an absolute monstrosity, chews through any workload like Garfield through a lasagna. Versus Intel's i9 9900k, you won't see a difference in gaming unless you're counting a few frames difference that you'd never notice without the FPS counter. The kicker is the multithreaded performance. If you're, say, running high resolution video editing or rendering programs, then the Ryzen 9 3900X humiliates the i9 9900k. Indeed, it stuffs the 9900k into its locker with a bag of dirty gym socks. Then it takes the 9900k's girlfriend to the senior prom. Then it cheats on her with the 9900k's sister. If you want a workstation that doesn't skimp on gaming prowess, look no further. The Ryzen 9 3900X is the new kid in town, new starting quarterback, class president, valedictorian, dating the captain of the cheerleaders.

Everyone is already aware that this is a beast chip, so I won't dive too much into the product itself. If you are mostly just gaming, get a 3700x and put the extra money into upgrading your other components. For 3D rendering, virtualization, or other heavy workloads, this is an amazing value. I live on an island with no retail electronic stores nearby, so I order just about everything online. Best Buy was one of the few vendors to restock the 3900x at MSRP, which was a big deciding point for me giving them my business. They also offered fast, free shipping. Also want to give a shout out to Rigen from Best Buy customer care. I ordered right before they added the Outer Worlds/Borderlands 3 bundle. Called them up and asked if I could get a code and the support was great, everyone I talked to was very polite. Said I should get an email within 24-48 hours. Received it about an hour. Rigen sent me a separate email and called and left a voicemail to let me know it went through successfully. Overall, it's been a great experience, and my first time back on AMD in about a decade. My rig: 3900x MSI x570 Ace 2x16GB TridentZ 3200 CL14 (B-Die) RTX 2080 + GTX 1080 (octane render doesn't need identical cards) 2x 1TB WD SN750 1TB Micron 5100 Pro SATA M.2

Using this processor inside of a editing/gaming computer alongside a RTX 2070 Super. For reference, I'm cooling it using a Corsair H100i with Noctua Design fans mounted to the radiator, inside of the Fractal Design Meshify C. Performance on this thing is insane, and this processor is a beast in any sort of editing (Adobe premiere). Temperatures aren't nearly as high as I was expecting either, running under 50°C in most of the games a play. All in all, it's the best processor I've ever owned and my first time trying a product from the AMD side. Don't be afraid of switching if you haven't already.

Will run multiple programs, including a game, multiple browser windows, a live stream, and not even hit 20% load. Multitasking monster. Comes with a very capable cooler, unlike its Intel counterparts, and for cheaper compared to a similar model.

I have had this CPU for over a year and it has plenty of power for just about anything your going to do. Usually runs about 4.2Ghz and stays frosty with liquid cooling. Plus 12core/24 thread: how cool is that?

Meet the chip that gave Intel some Humble pie. I always got Intel chips. First AMD chip, so far so good. I am not a gamer, but the new build with this chip is lighting fast. I play Blu Rays. Stream to. Opens programs really quick. I like the software from AMD to boot. Very easy to Over Clock it to. Yeah the 3950X is better but the price is higher to. I am using water cooler, runs reasonable temps under load. PCiE 4.

I've been building computers since I was a kid. I gave it up a few years ago but this thing teased me back into making a new machine vs a store-bought unit. If you' haven't read anything about it, let's just say this thing moves. 12 cores, 24 threads, and good speed. It eats everything I throw at it. I never knew photoshop could run this well. No problem with top tier game titles. If you're in the market, this is the chip to buy.

This CPU is an absolute MONSTER. I did a complete system upgrade from an i7 7700k with 16gb of ram and a GTX 1070 to an Ryzen 9 3900x with 64gb ram and an RTX 2070 Super. This destroys my 7700k system in every aspect. No Problems with it at all If you are looking to build a new system this CPU is the one !!

Amazing processor for first GEN Ryzen, runs as advertised. Ryzen master makes OC this a breeze and much easier then Intel. This processor brut-forces everything it does and is definitely better then it’s counterparts unless you absolutely need that 5mghz boost.
