I purchased the starter kit and setup the main camera first. This is what I experienced. The video was glitchy and was not smooth like in the ad video on QVC’s website. The motion sensor picked me up one out of five times when set on away mode and no notification was sent to my phone. On to the flex camera, the video was pixelated, hard to view the image, kept clicking between night mode and day mode (all 12 lights on in basement, was like daylight), the battery life dropped from 100% to 58% in 10 minutes. Overall this kit did not work for me. Plus I’m not a fan of the subscription option. Most of the important options required a subscription. Setup is 5 stars, no issues with either camera. I am returning the kit and will try my luck with another security camera brand.

Picture quality is great; especially at night. Battery is weak if you view live frequently it won't last more than a few week.

I bought the starter pack for "peace of mind" as I travel for work and like to know I am able to check in on my house and animals while I am away. Both cameras were easy to set up, (the outdoor camera has a mounting option, however I have not used that as I have the magnetic base attached to metal currently). I love that you can access the cameras from your phone or PC, and have opted to pay Canary for the Yearly subscription to view recording for 30 days, enable the speaker and alarm, and save/ download videos. My one con for the camera is the motion is very sensitive (no matter what setting i have it on)- I.E. the fan moving, tree shadows, etc. it catches it all so the alerts on my phone tend to go a little crazy sometimes.

I was a bit apprehensive about buying this, after having a nest camera. But decided to give it a shot due to a great sale. Glad I did, awesome cameras, great quality picture, ease of use is great. Only issue was set up, took a couple tries to get it to connect to my home wifi, not sure why but it finally connected after a few tries, and downloaded all its updates and I was good to go from there.

I was monitoring this product for a while but hesitated to purchase. Overall, the product is very good. The camera quality is above average. The motion detection could use some work. I get a lot of false alerts. the flex camera is outstanding. I would recommend this product

Literally useless. You can't download your videos, you can't have 2 way talk, unless you purchase membership, which is $150/year. My Lorex does more for free with better quality. Canary Flex is horrible, very slow connection speed, low quality videos. By the time you connect to it remotely its too late. (I have very fast internet, so internet speed was out of the question) Problem: it works only on Wi-Fi, unlike some security video systems they connect to host, which has longer range than Wi-Fi signal. So basically, when you buy it you can only do live viewing only, unless you buy Membership.

The canary system works well but you really need a subscription.

This product is awesome. It not only send me a notice when the alarm is activated, but also tells me the temperature, air quality and humidity in the house. The installation was very easy.

Great pictures easy to use and setup. Wish it had ability to rotate though.

Canary gives me piece of mind while on vacation and while at home. Picture is clear both day and night. And I cant wait to expand the system with more cameras, was excited to find a 50% off code for the 1 yr service membership. Making it $49.99, only issue is it picks up my dog while in away mode, and alerts me. But better safe then sorry. And my insurance company gave me a discount for having it.

Easy to set up and use. Battery life is good. Video view is good for the price

I used to live in a one bedroom apartment, so I only used the Canary. Now that I have a two story home, I use both the Canary and the Canary Flex. I finally got it working correctly and they both do a good job with the schedule I have set for them. Good, clear picture from both.

Very cool product and amazing experience. It does lag sometimes.

We will see how all this works out. Still working on this system

Nice camera with a relatively clear image. If the free cloud recording is longer, like 3days, it would have been better.

I don’t have the subscription for the recording since I can watch live & record my screen. Slight delay of about 10-15 secs of a person or motion before you get the notification

I bought this because we were going out of town and needed to watch over our apt. Love the camera. Picture Quality Is is good not great. But you most definitely need to buy the subscription for 30 day recorded and two way talking which was 100 a year otherwise the camera kind of sucks without it. But I will say this, the one time something did happen “ someone stole my bike out side”, I’m glad I had it because I was able to show police and that camera saved so much for me. Great camera

I love the inside camera.. great footage, angle, and view. I do have some issues with the smaller one remaining connected to the wifi even with an extender.
