Temperature was within .3 degrees of my high end instant read thermometer. My first meal was a pork loin fillet which can be very dry if overcooked, this one came out perfect. My only criticism is how hard it is to opt out of Anova's subscription. You have to subscribe to the free month to activate the app, then and cancel immediately. There are no controls on the Sous Vide, it is controlled exclusively with the app, Also it requires both bluetooth and wifi to operate,

Version 3.0 of the Anova circulator adds 5hz WiFi compatibility, but doesn’t otherwise tamper with proven hardware. The device retains the physical controls and device displays for temperature and time. The device heats water quickly and maintains temperature accurately.
Some app features are locked behind a paywall after the initial free trial expires, which seems like a pointless money grab.

The units lost connection all the time, really inconvenient. Could be just the app causes problem. Otherwise, the foods come out perfect, we enjoy cook frozen chicken with this.

This was a gift for my mother. I was not sure how well it would work since it was less expensive than most of the others. She uses it frequently and loves it.

This item is a great entry point into the world of Sous Vide. Been wanting something like this for a while now, as in more affordable and portable and here it is. Love the portability and ease of use. The app is pretty well set up and the device itself works great.

Love this little sous vide! Works perfectly every time. The app is simple and reliable. Especially at this price point, I doubt you could do any better.

Device requires a subscription to do anything beyond set a temp and time. Even a notification that the time has elapsed is locked behind the sub.
Aside from the absurd cash grab, the device works well.

Cheap ! Opened the box . Set it up and the motor stuck . Had to unplug it and to poke to get the motor going . It worked for a minute and it stuck again . I returned it !

Does not have on/off/set buttons. You HAVE to use WiFi and app connectivity to get it to function. On top of that, it would not work with the free app features, so it forces you to sign up for a two week trial subscription and bills $1.99 a month after that. I get that $1.99/month is not a whole lot, but basically, you will be renting this device for $1.99 a month for as long as you decide to keep it, even though you have already paid a purchase price. I suppose it’s a way for
Anova to generate additional funds; can’t imagine who at Anova thought the development of this product was a good idea.
