The good: The new entry level 21.5-inch Apple iMac is now only $100 more than the (already discounted) 13-inch Macbook Air. The display, design, and build quality remain top-notch, and it includes high-end features such as Thunderbolt, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and Apple's excellent bundled accessories. The bad: This lower-cost model has a small hard drive and laptop-like CPU and graphics performance compared to the more-expensive iMac configurations. It lacks even basic user upgradability. The bottom line: While it includes some performance and graphics concessions on the lowest priced model, the 21.5-inch iMac brings Apple's iconic design and top-notch bundled accessories and software to a wider audience.

I love this computer....it is extremely user friendly, fast and great picture quality. Although, pricey this was a great buy.

The 2 negatives about this machine are the very slow hard drive and the fact that you can't upgrade the RAM later. The display is amazing!

Great resolution, very fast, easy to use, love the graphics for viewing photos and videos.

This iMac is really a perfect computer. Seamless integration with my iPhone, Quick transfer of info, Garage Band is way cool! Too many things to mention but I will say that Apple is and always will be the “Gold Standard” for technology and ease of use. I don’t get viruses, I get lightning fast response, quick peripheral set-ups and incredibly clear screen and my music at my fingertips! Worth every dollar!

I’ve had PC’s as long as I can remember. When my last one died, I began researching options. My sister has an older iMac and said I wouldn’t be sorry if I switched. For once she was right! The display is beautiful and it’s lightning fast. It took me a while to get used to Microsoft Office but everything is so much easier to use, especially since I have an iPhone. Little pricey but totally worth it!

Packaging was awesome and as a first time Mac owner, it takes a little learning to get around. I absolutely love the No Wires!...the only cord that is needed it the power cord...unless you add an external DVD drive which I did and that is no big deal...Love this All-In-One!

This is a beautiful and well crafted machine. I have had Apple computers for the past 6 years with the exception of one windows computer/tablet that only lasted about 6 months before it no longer worked. I had a Mac Book Pro I purchased in 2010 that I used every day for common wed browsing to movie and photo editing and 3D printing and modeling. So buying another apple computer to replace it was not a hard choice. The Retina display is breathtaking, the processor is lightning fast, and it can stream 4K videos run my 3D printing software and internet tabs with out skipping a beat. Some may argue that you can get "more bang for your buck" with a high end windows computer, and that may be true in some cases. However, I believe that it is hard to beat the whole package this computer has. Spend the extra couple hundred dollars and get the 4K retina model.

Being in the graphics industry made me familiar with Mac computers. I simply love them. However all my life my personal computers or my families were PC desktops. I am proud to say I love my new Mac desktop. Mac's forever!

I decided to switch from a PC to a Mac. The computer's design looks good. Migration assistant on the mac made transferring information from the PC fairly easy. A lot of files transfer, so I will keep the old PC a few weeks in case I am missing a file. Otherwise, for email and surfing the web, very easy.

You don't realize how "old" your computer is until you get that new one. WOW. We are saving so much time with our new setup. We love the compact design and ease of use. Only complaint is that we had to buy the disc drive...we feel this should still come as part of the purchase.

This is my first Apple PC experience and I must say it has been a pleasure! The set up was easy, adding specific programs was not difficult and the screen display is wonderful. Being a Windows person at work and home for a long time I am making the conversion to Apple without issue...

A decided improvement from my old Imac which was passed on to me by my son. Enjoyed learning Imac usage and there was no way I would change by to a regular computer. I consider the imac a special computer system and have really enjoyed using this new computer.

My husband and I bought an apple desktop computer. We had a dell computer but didn't care for Windows 10. We are very pleased with our Mac choice. we decided since we have a iPhone, and iPad it would be nice to have a Mac also. Love it! Easy to use, very compact and attractive

We bought this so that our daughter could use an older Apple laptop for her photography editing while we could use this. Love the size of the screen and the graphics while also noting that it is a typical Apple product - reliable and easy to use

After having a MacBook Pro for 7 years, it was time to upgrade. My first iMac. Easy set up. Great speed. Great graphics/screen. Trustworthy company.

I have had 2 Mac Minis over the last 8 years. I decided it was time to upgrade, and wanted to get rid of all of those cords all over my desk. Now the Mini's were excellent, and still work. My grandson loves the Mini (late 2009), which works great for what he needs or wants to do. My daughter was looking at the price of the Mac's a few weeks ago, and realized she couldn't afford one at this time. My Mac Mini (2014) will go to her. But I absolutely Love this IMac. It has the Retina screen, so the pictures are awesome. It is so easy to use, and fast. I like that the keyboard and the mouse are cordless, and plug in to the computer with a lightning cable to charge. No more charging batteries as in my former Apple keyboard and Apple Mighty Mouse. It has so much space on the hard drive, I won't come close to filling it up. It came with lots of great programs, although I did buy an antivirus program (Kaspersky Total Security) and Microsoft Office. When I bought it, It was on sale and a great deal. I hadn't actually planned to buy a new computer when I went into Best Buy, buy realized that I could make my daughter happy, and have my dream computer at a very good price. I've only been using it for a few weeks, I had some problem installing Microsoft Office, and the Microsoft person was unable to help me. I called Apple Support and she immediately discovered that I was in a start up disk, not the actual hard drive. She spent several minutes walking me through installing Office, and answered a few other questions I had. Support was wonderful!

I've used Windows computers for years and never thought I would buy a Mac. But after a few iPhones and 2 iPads I finally bought one from Best Buy. Amazing, fast, easy to use, beautiful screen that's clear and sharp. It syncs wirelessly with my phone and quickly with my iPad Pro that I carry with me during the day. And with 1TB of storage, I have plenty if room for my pictures, music and videos. I had backed up my Windows files to an external drive and my new Mac read the drive with no problem. Wish I had switched sooner!

My wife had a Toshiba laptop for past five years (also purchased at Best Buy). It was at the point where it needed a new keyboard. Not expensive and worth repairing as opposed to trading in. Still, after placing the laptop into Geek squad, my wife and I roamed the store, which is what you do at Best Buy, and we came to the Apple island. Thats where she saw this computer. Combine that with a really knowledgeable apple expert and we were off to the races. Now we had just purchased a large screen TV so another semi major purchase wasn't exactly on the horizon. On the other hand not having a computer for a couple of weeks wasn't in the cards either. So, convinced that she needed a mac this time we went for it. So far she likes it but I htink she will like it more when understands how to use it better.

This computer came in the right moment in my life. The computer is fast and high definition display you gotta love it. The wireless mouse and keyboard are a plus. Now, I can work at home since my last computer used freeze up a lot.
