as someone who is pretty much locked into the apple ecosystem, the homepod was a no-brainer for me when i was looking for a smart speaker. its sound quality is unmatched compared to other smart speakers, though siri continues to leave a lot to be desired...

The HomePod delivers excellent sound quality, especially if your main goal is a “smart” speaker that handles basic HomeKit commands and streams seamlessly from Apple Music. For those firmly in the Apple ecosystem, it does its job well.
Unfortunately, the experience feels limited. Third-party support is minimal, and there are very few apps that really take advantage of the HomePod. That lack of flexibility was a deal-breaker for me. I eventually sold mine and switched to two Denon 150 speakers in a paired setup, which offered far better sound performance (though to be fair, two speakers will almost always outshine one).
If you’re all-in on Apple services, the HomePod can be a solid choice. But if you’re looking for broader support or more versatility, there are better options out there.
Great for Apple users, buy 2 if you have a AppleTV

If you are in the Apple ecosystem this is a great option for a smart speaker and 2 of them are great to have a smart soundbar with atmos if you have an AppleTV. The spacial audio is good but I have vaulted ceilings which I don’t think is ideal but fills the space well.

I wasn't too impressed with the sound. Plus, it being a bluetooth unit , wouldn't come on when my tv was turned on. I would have to unplug my Appletv unit and then plug it back in. That's not for me. A speaker like this should be wired, Not bluetooth! My 2 cents. I returned mine and bought a aux. sound system through Amazon.

I wanted to love this. I obsessed over watching all the YouTube reviews. I already own a HomePod mini which i love, so naturally i would love the new larger HomePod 2, right? WRONG! I returned it 24 hours after buying it. The sound quality is not much better than my HomePod mini and it’s three times the price. My sonos1 has more bass and my Bose soundlunk mini is much richer sounding. And i had trouble syncing my two HomePods because apple wanted me to upgrade to their Family Plan in Apple Music. I was told that you really need to buy TWO HomePods to hear something amazing. NO THANKS! Not spending $600+tax on mediocre speakers. I also have a pair of klipsch R15pm’s with a wireless klipsch subwoofer. This setup blows me away. If you’re an audiophile, then you would enjoy the crisp sound of this setup and it cost me less than $600. I will definitely buy another HomePod mini so i can pair them for stereo sound in my coveted outdoor patio. Sorry Apple, but you missed the mark on this one.

I bought this HomePod to replace an older one. This HomePod certainly out does the first one I owned. Sound quality is very high and enjoyable, I will be buying a second one to pair up with this one.

You get what you pay for. These are amazing sounding speakers. I have an original homepod and bought 2 more because I loved the first one so much. I read reviews that the second series are not as good as the original. This is simply not true. I have different speakers in different rooms and do not notice the difference between the old and the news ones.

I love this HomePod. I have it set up in my living room and it is directly connected to my Apple TV and my tv volume plays through it. It makes a deep rich sound that’s great for having the speaker right in the middle of my room. But you can have this speaker stationed anywhere. I highly recommend it, especially if you have apple products.

Not as loud or strong in sound quality as I was expecting. I have some of the smaller echo devices and I think they are actually louder. With this you get more bass and the use of Siri, which works more smoothly if you have Apple Music. Overall, the device is fine. I think it’s overpriced though.
