- A: AnswerYes, absolutely. However, you'll need IOS 236.1.2 available November 1, 2118. I suggest getting two & taping them to your ears.

- A: AnswerApple HomePods will only pair to Apple devices (Apple TV, iPhones, Macs, & iPads). They will not pair to non-Apple BT devices. I have two stereo pairs, one controlled by an Apple TV and the other by an Apple iMac. But either pair can also by controlled by any other Apple device, including our iPhones or a guest iPhone.

Q: QuestionIs it portable for use in multiple rooms and can it be used outdoors?(2 answers)
A: AnswerIt does need to be plugged into an outlet in order to be used, so it definitely is not portable. Just like the Amazon Echo devices, the goal is to have someone purchase a device for every room ( really where the HomePod Mini joins the party ). The HomePod also is very much NOT water/weather-proof, so in my opinion it would be worth keeping it indoors at all times. I have two and use them as my TV/gaming sound system as well as streaming radio for my cat while I’m at work!Answered by brmichael28
- A: AnswerUnfortunately, “Hey Siri” doesn’t work to play from Spotify directly; only Apple Music. You can, however, AirPlay from an iPhone to any HomePod.

Q: QuestionWill this work as part of a Sonos speaker system?(4 answers)
A: AnswerIt would only work if you were casting audio through your appleTV, using an apple device (or you could change manually through settings on your appleTV, but that would be a setting you would have to change every time you started your TV). Once your audio (TV show, movie, music, podcast etc.) has started playing, you can select on your iPhone to add an additional audio player. Once you do that, it would be playing out of both your appleTV and your homepod. I do this often.Answered by SeanR

Best WiFi speaker/home hub available
I really love this thing! I had a HomePod mini for about a year before this new second generation HomePod was released and I really loved the mini as well, but I just wish it had a better, more powerful sound (though it’s great for its price and size) and I missed out on the full size version before it was discontinued so I was excited when the second generation was announced and immediately got it upon release. I was definitely not disappointed. It, of course, can be used as a home hub and bridge for your home which allows you to control and automate all of your smart home devices and has built in Siri and all of the capabilities that come with it, but it’s also a really good wireless speaker. It has tons of neat technology ti ensure a proper, great sound with deep, rich bass response. It’s great for listening to music or podcasts. You can also pair two together to use for stereo sound, and it can also be used for your tv to replace the speakers in it if paired with another HomePod in stereo mode (an excellent alternative to soundbar or similar setup, especially for those with limited space or those who have their tv wall mounted and don’t have a stand underneath their tv and want to maintain a clean look) compared to other WiFi speakers of the size or price, this is far better-and you also get all the features of Siri as well as the ability to control your smartphone with this, which makes this an absolute bargain tbh.

Amazing home pod
It’s an amazing home pod! It was easy to set up and it’s been easy to use. I just have to remember to put my phone down before saying Hey, Siri. lol The sound is amazing and depending on the volume we can hear it throughout the house. It was next to the Cats Christmas tree. By the way our cats have not attacked it or anything.

Your ears will enjoy listening to this speaker!
People attempt to compare this newest model to the original, saying it's not as good, but I totally disagree. The bass from this speaker is unreal and you'd never expect it from a speaker of this size. The speaker produces clean highs and mids, and is able to fill a room without issue, especially when set up as a pair. After I purchased just one and was able to see what it could do, I had to immediately order another to make it a pair. If you already live in the Apple Ecosystem, this is a great addition and I have no regrets.
