My dad is in a nursing home. He loves his iPad. He downloads books, surfs the web, and looks at emails.

I use it nearly every day and find it very handy to carry and good to use.

Product is limited in capabilities due to the fact that Apple's IOS is proprietary. It will not interact with non-apple devices and is not compatable with commonly used programs, such as "Flash Player, Quicken, Microsoft Office Professional, etc.

After several iPhones and a Mac laptop I decided to try an ipad as something in between. I am very happy with this tablet and love the display. I can't believe there is no distortion or pixation when I zoom in on text. It is super fast over cellular and I have not used in Wifi mode yet as my home network is down. I got the white one to stand out from the sea of black ones at the office at work and the white border is not distracting at all. I thought the white would be too, well white when watching a video in a dark setting or make the screen look smaller but neither is true. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the $829 pricetag, but just like everything else, if you want quality you gotta pay for it.

I went from a first generation iPad to this iPad with Retina display. All I can say is, "Wow!" I didn't think it could be much better...but I was wrong. The screen is so much clearer and the speed at which you move between apps is astounding. I am so glad I purchased this upgrade! I am using this with an OtterBox case and the Apple wireless Bluetooth keyboard.
