It is the best Christmas gift my wife ever bought. The battery last a long time and so easy to use. The quality of the retina screen is so clear and it takes awesome pictures.

When it comes to Apple's i-products there's tons of professional reviews and there's is not really much to say as consumer/user doing a review, except my own experience with it. The iPad is just a great tablet in any way that you could imagine (so say millions of buyers). Screen: Awesome resolution and colors. Gorilla glass is really strong and withstands standard usage scratches. Battery: Very good life, if you use the iPad a lot during the day, you'll need to charge it every night. Operating System: iOS is the easiest mobile platform system, so easy my 2 year old daughter knows her way around it. There's a world of apps on the iTunes store. Literally, it's true when the advertisements say "there's an app for that". Accessories: There's a myriad of accessories for Apple products, no need to say much about it.

I bought this iPad primarily for work. I considered getting the iPad mini, however, decided on the retina display, due to the bigger size and cheaper price. This is my second iPad (had the first generation, however, it would not update to the newer iOS versions) and my third Apple product. It's easy to use and organize...the kids I work with can easily access their apps. The display picture is very clear and crisp and the battery seems to last for hours on one charge. I recommend purchasing a sturdy case to protect the iPad, as it is, obviously, quite fragile. Overall, a great tablet.

i'm on the computer all day at work, so when i go home the last thing i ever wanted to do was go online. i needed a small, light weight computer to use when i travel & the ipad was a perfect fit for me. it gives me access to all of the programs i need when i'm away from my office to stay in touch, but now i've found that i really enjoy all sorts of other fun stuff. i was never a computer game player..now i play, shop, browse, whatever. the ease of the ipad & the portability make it so much fun to use i have it with me all the time now! i'm, completely hooked. thanks apple & best buy!!

I have wanted an iPad for quite awhile and this did not disappoint. It is easy to set up, has great screen quality, and better battery life than I expected.

Purchased ipad 5 16 gb with retina display. Love it!!! I am not tech savvy, just a beginner and this thing is amazing. I am learning new things daily. I have not got into the iCloud yet so when I do I am sure I won't have a need for a sd card. It takes great pictures and video and its really simple to use. Siri, Facetime and just being able to talk into the mic and have it type the messages is great. It does so much more than I realized when I bought it.

I needed to get this for work and the iPad was the only tablet supported by my office. Otherwise, I would have gotten a Surface for its multitasking capability and compatibility with MS Office. The iPad is a great toy, but not ideal for what I need at my place of business. I need multitasking with apps, decent word processor and spread sheet apps, and support of the pen-style styluses. To add insult to injury, this thing was ridiculously expensive for what it does. I still gave it a 4 rating despite my complaints because it does the job pretty well and there are work-arounds to some of the issues that I raised. That, and one could not do any better for an easy tablet to use that has a gorgeous display and a huge selection of apps.

I traded in a 2nd gen iPad for the current version with retina display. The new iPad is faster and for viewing photos is even better than the older version. I do have some problem with reading text on the retina screen. Text is very sharp, but smaller than on the non-retina screen. Even with using the accessibility settings and brightness levels, I am having a slight problem with the fonts. I'm 71, so this might not be as much of a problem for younger eyes. But I think that I'm getting used to it. It's a great tablet and can't wait to install iOS7.

Overall good product however had several issues that took hours to try to resolve, which could not. New iPad actually took over another iPad that was being used in the house. All information was "transferred" to the new one. Spent hours on the phone with Apple and they have no idea how or why this occurred as 2 separate email addresses we're being used for the accounts. Camera takes great pictures.

My wife bought me an ipad for my 72nd birthday. I went with her. She was going to get the ipad mini but when i saw it and compared it with the regular ipad I decided to get the regular full size one. I have been very happy with it. Best Buy had a class to show how to use it, but when I went to the class 4 days later there was very little for the man to show me. The machine is very easy to use. It is intuitive. I thoroughly recommend it.

I finally splurged and got this iPad and I'm glad I did. Not only do I love it but my kids love it too. It is easy to access different apps and download quickly. I still have to figure out the different control settings so when the two year old is playing she can't change options I have set up. Originally bought the 16gb and had to exchange it for the 32gb for all the pictures/music/apps I have for it. Wish the sales rep would have talked me into the bigger one first since they were sold out of the black when I went back to exchange it but had a black otterbox case either way. Although there are different options out there that are cheaper, apple has never let me down. Be sure to get a good case for it just incase.

I mostly use the iPad for games and reading when i'm waiting for somebody or killing time at a coffee shop. I wish I bought an iPad with more memory, but I didn't expect to play as much as games as I do when I first purchased it.

Love this IPad as it is so much faster than my notebook. It is small and compact which makes it easy to take outside and take photos then come into the house and send the photo. It is a learning process but if you continue to work with it anyone can learn it.

It's my 2nd ipad. I upgraded from the 2nd generation and this one is really faster and with a super display. Battery life is better.

Faster than ipad2, better screen and it works nearly all day without needing a charge

After years of debating, I purchased an iPad. I think it was a great move. I love the screen quality and portability. I use it almost exclusively to surf the web, reading and looking at videos. I relegate my macbook for typing intensive activities and managing my music, photos, and videos. I like the size alot but I do wish it were smaller. Holding it for prolonged periods of time can fatique your hands/wrists. I do have a case with a built in stand but it's not my preferred way to use the device.
