Some ellyptical/workout machines still use the old iPhone/iPad charger; this allows you to charge your newer device without any problems. Same goes if you're using old cords and need to charge a newer phone.

This item is exactly what I needed. The only thing i would caution people is that it isnt all that long of a cord. However, I prefer it over the other adapter and it this corded version is only $4 more.

If u got the old chargers this adapter will help you save money onbuying new lightning cables. I use it on my Mercedes that has the old 30 pin connector and now I can listen to my music from the car speakers

I wish I had gotten this accessory sooner. This is the perfect adapter for my car phone charger. Could not use it before since nobody in our family owns a 30 pin apple product anymore.

I recently bought a car with the older connector and the short one-piece adaptor would not work. This served to allow for use of the iPOD in the vehicle. It is an Apple proprietary, so is a little pricey, but has served me well.

I wanted a lightning cable for my new iPhone but I wanted to use the existing ihome cllock radio and charger station. This unit allows me to adapt the older 30 pin plug to charge and connect my newer iPhone.

Works perfectly, I just wish I didn't need it. With all of the technology today you would think they could build an iPhone 6+ docking station that is designed to accommodate the phone in its protective case.

Since I remember buying my first Lightning to 30-Pin Adapter Cable more than 4 years ago, I expect this one to last about that many years. So far, it works as it should in my car.

The only reason it does not get 5 stars is that I have to take the case off to use this. If they made the part the connected to the iPhone like a regular charger end (lightning port? thunder port?) that would be better "fit."

I have two different iHome clock radios I like, and was worried when I upgraded my iPhone. This adapter works well with both clock radios. It also seems thicker (sturdier?) than longer lightning cables.

Would have given 5 stars but the price for this is too much!! And I wish it had been a little longer. Otherwise it serves my purpose of now being able to hook up my iphone 5s to the old connection on my alarm clock and boom box.

About 9-10 inches long...long enough to reach the docking stations I wanted it for without being so long that it gets in the way. Sound quality is great, very secure connection.

The length of the cable and the plug in were perfect to fit in a 2009 year car we purchased for my daughter in order to connect her Iphone to the system. Price was great as well!

The 30pin to lightning cable length works great with my iHome CD/Radio/iPod player. I can attach my iPod to the adapter and lay it on top of the unit. There is no problem with playing the iPod with it.

Bought this with the intention to "rescue" the 30-pin devices that have been made obsolete since the release of the Lightning connector. It works perfectly for audio and even charging applications.

Yes, it is a little expensive, but what Apple products aren't. If only they made a longer cable, but I guess I can always get a 30pin extension. Much cheaper to buy this, than to get a new car kit.

Need something to connect my new iPOD touch to my old docking station. The length is perfect. Not too long to be annoying and not too short so that the iPod doesn't lie flat.

This 30-pin to lightning cable is great if you still have the older style IPod and IPhone radio where they only support the 30-pin cable. The problem is Apple really needs to make this cable just a bit longer! Way too short.

This cable is just what the Dr. ordered for updating my Bose speaker to be compatible with my Bose speaker! The cable is much better than just the PIN. Easy to plug in and it stays plugged in!
