I love the size, keyboard, track pad, and style. This is a perfect sized computer for my classwork and carrying around. I have been waiting for the new Macbook to be released and it is definitely worth the wait. Well done Apple!!

I bought this mac because i needed something ultra portable to carry for every day use. This is my very first Mac computer so I read so many reviews before i made my mind up to buy this one. I originally intended to get the newer model but i found this one on sale with the extra storage for cheaper than the base price of the newer model with half the storage. While most people find the keyboard frustrating, it took me just a few hours use before i became comfortable and now i can't imagine it without the thin keys. I did have a slight issue with mine out of the box when it wouldn't charge, but the geek squad people in my local store helped me troubleshoot and find it was the brick for the wall that had gone bad, and they replaced it for me with no issues. i have used it to encode movies, run my windows virtual machine, and do everything i could ever want to do on the go, so nothing but thumbs up for me.

I can't believe how light this is! Would prefer to have a few more ports, but with adapters I don't think this will be an issue. My son is planning to use this for school. Will be nice and light for transporting between classes

Crisp picture quality, AWESOME black bevel, keys take a minute to get used to, spacing is different from previous generation, nice wider pad Toggle is a bit strange not to have usb ports, but not anything the accessory couldn't fix The color is not quite as true GOLD, it was a gift for my wife and she was a bit confused about whether it was Gold or Rose gold, even though box and product itself showed GOLD as the true color. Overall satisfied wife....."happy wife, happy life" :)

I love this MacBook. It is so light and a pleasure to use. The display is awesome. I use a particular software that is pretty demanding of resources, so I was concerned about performance. This MacBook was more than equal to the task and has exceeded my expectations. I have experience with all the MacBooks (Airs, Pros) and just migrated from a top of the line MacBook Pro 15inch Retina. This MacBook 12inch is by far my favorite. It is the ultimate portable computer.

This MacBook is a lot more powerful than I thought it would be. Its great for my wife, light and it does everything she needs. I also edited some video which was pretty smooth even on Final Cut Pro. One port is not that big a deal anymore when you can you the cloud or Drop Box. I would recommend this machine if you don't need massive power.

Bought this computer for my daughter for college. She loves it, very light weight, and even though it's her first apple computer, she says it's very easy to use

Apple really is revolutionizing the ultrabook with this machine! This is now my primary machine for work and especially when I travel. Its ultra light and thin and I can travel on international trips with out any hassles and use it on any plane. Note: you must use this machine with OS X El Capitan or later or else you will see a dramatic drop in performance for most tasks on older versions. This has a mobile, low energy CPU that is less powerful but I found that running El Capitan on it is good enough for almost any use case, including running virtual machines.

The Gold MacBook is the most convenient Apple product I have to date, I absolutely love its looks, power, weight & convenience!

I bought this as a replacement for my old iPad 1. It's very light and compact. I was impressed at the speed it recharges. Initially I was a bit hesitant because it doesn't have a USB port and you have to buy an extra adaptor lead to use USB devices but so far I haven't even used It. It was $300 cheaper than in the Apple Store so the higher spec model was the same price in Best Buy as the entry level model in the Apple Store; extremely pleased about that. Looks great, performs well, light, compact, fantastic screen. Overall very very pleased with my purchase.

Love this MacBook bcuz it weights almost the same amount as my tablet. The speakers are great without adding an attachment to make it louder and the speed of it is better then any other laptop I've had before it. Great buy for me.

The good: Super compact and easy to carry around all day. Battery - Lasting all day without need to replug. Fast and functional. The bad: no USB port. Needs additional connectors

The hardware on this Mac is a bit unbelievable. What an amazing piece of kit. The screen is awesome, the performance very good. The only thing that I am still getting used to is the keyboard. It is very different from the Macbook Air. Different in a bad way. The Air has a better keyboard. Also, getting a spare charger and a dongle for a standard USB port and HDMI output cost me another $170. Kinda steep. Still, it's one of the nicest laptop I've ever had.

Thin, light, beautiful screen and more. The keyboard is absolutely the most amazing innovation and the best in class trackpad make this the gold standard of power sipping ultrabooks. Mac OS X is just the icing on the cake. Having just 1 USB port for power and everything else is a bit too minimalist.

This is now the fasted Mac we own. It is also the lightest and most powerful. The battery life is amazing. The screen is super clear and sharp.

As always, Apple delivers an incredible experience to the user. Light as never, fast as it can be! Great purchase. The best Macbook ever!

Super cute (Gold) and small! Able to store in nice leather portfolio and carry EVERYWHERE. I was concerned, as I've owned every Pro version, to switch to the Air. I realized I did not need all the ports (even to sync my wireless mouse) as Mr. Jobs envisioned. I have ZERO complaints. But then again my issues are usually only with certain upgrades! A great buy for women or those needing something less robust and heavy as my tried and true MacBook Pro!

Laptop is great. Light, fast, good images, long battery life. Only drawback is there are limited cases/protective casing for it. Everything is 11 inch or 13 inch, hardly anything for 12 inch. Wanted protective case and sleeve but not available. Only had light shell case which protects from scratches, not drops/liquid. Other drawback is C port. Had to buy 3 different adapters - one for phone, one for ethernet and 1 with 3 different ports. I have to carry 3 adapters plus charger if I am going to be out for an extended period. All in all, great laptop.

Purchased this to replace and old MacBook Air and couldn't be happier. Small and lightweight with great crisp picture

Look, this thing is unbelievably svelte. It does get a little warm and may get hot if you really work it. I have an iMac so lack of ports is not a concern for me. Overall, I am very satisfied with the machine and I cannot wait to see how it evolves. I do not recommend this to someone as a main computer. If you are browsing the net, basic productivity, and social media, just get an ipad.
