This computer is small, but works great. It is fast, portable, and does everything needed as a student and teacher. I don't watch movies or play games on this computer as I use it strictly for work and school. For those functions, it is perfect and portable.

I got this for an increíble deal on a random Best Buy sale and I have had zero regrets. Absolutely lightweight. Small screen but resolution makes up for it. Works fast and battery is decent. I will say the gold is much more rose gold but thankfully I love rose gold.

While i have only had it for about a month this MacBook has already proven itself, I do a lot of traveling and this !2' MacBook is compact, light weight and has excellent battery life. This MacBook is ideally suited to the mobile lifestyle. I would recommend it to anyone.

If you're looking for a small, light, capable Mac laptop, this fits the bill. The display, using 4K resolution, is gorgeous. It's peppy with applications I've been running and has really good battery life. The build quality is great, but keep in mind that it doesn't have the "heft" of something like a MacBook Pro - that works great if you're looking for something light that's not a chore to lug around, but makes it feel a little fragile. I'd recommend one of those hard-shell "skins" to protect it when you're carrying it around. It only has one USB-C port, which can be a little inconvenient if you're wanting to just plug in a usb drive or stick - just adding one more port, which could be easily done without changing the form factor, would allow you to plug-in something at the same time you're charging. Overall, very pleased.

This laptop is lightweight with a retina display and fast processor. Weighing less than the Air, this 12" laptop is great for any college student or traveling professional! I am so disappointed that Apple will be discontinuing its manufacture of this product.

Very convenience laptop and lightweight, it is smaller than the air and my wife loves it. It's fast and has a beautiful display. I got a good deal for $500 off.

I really like how it’s lightweight and portable. This makes it extremely easy to carry it around for school, and even using it at home. The downside is, the lack of ports, and of course the initial App Store setup is not user friendly. It took me about 3 days to figure out why I wasn’t being signed in and why my apps were not updating. Great laptop but even at the student pricing, I can’t recommend it since I can’t justify the price. Unless you’re actually going to use garage band and the film editor, not really worth it. Even my 1TB Samsung laptop can do more. But I spilled coffee on that keyboard and taking it to school with an attachable keyboard is not ideal

Love it!! Light, efficient, and beautiful. Easy to transport with great battery life. Movies look great and headphones were easy to pair. You can add adapters to accommodate your assesories. Great laptop. So happy with purchase.

I needed a small, very portable little laptop to replace the 11 inch MacBook Air that I bought back in 2010. That machine has been around the world several times, but it was beginning to show some signs of pending failure. I was disappointed when Apple decided to no longer sell this 12 inch MacBook in favor of the larger and heavier MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, but I was delighted that Best Buy was still selling them. If all goes well, this little gem will also go around the world several times as my international consulting demands numerous overseas trips. So far so good!

This computer is really easy for a first-time college student, and if you’re use to apple products, learning how to use the computer will be easy! So light, it is smaller than the other Macs, but personally I feel like it is a perfect size for college. Greatly recommend!

I love my MacBook! The size is perfect. As a full time student and full time worker, I needed something that was portable and small and could fit in my bag- along with the million other things I carry. For those of you wanting to buy the gold one, just be aware that they changed their gold color. It’s a mix between gold and rose gold now. For those of you who take online classes, the camera isn’t the best, but there are apps you can buy to change the settings.

I’ve been an apple head for years but never purchased a MacBook because they were so expensive. However, being a student, I needed something that was super lightweight and small enough to lug to classes all day long. This was perfect. I also love the airdrop and being able to send docs from my computer to my phone and vice versa. It’s great. However the touchpad was a little weird to get used to.

The new MacBook is a durable little powerhouse. Love how small it is and the battery life is great. Small enough that I can carry it in my purse. And couldn't beat the BestBuy price.

This MacBook does everything you need it to do and more. It is super light weight and the battery life is tremendous. The display is great as long as the operating system.

These aren't cheap but are very functional, great retina screen and so light and thin. With 8gb of RAM and 256gb of flash you can get a lot done with one of these. I am not a gamer, but for just about anything else this little system has me covered. My biggest complaint is the single USB-C port, but to be honest I seldom use it. With cloud storage and the earphone jack, I don't often need to plug anything else in. When I do, I have a USB-C flash drive and some nice USB-C hubs with every port you could want to use and more. Great product for portable use.

I love my new MacBook, lightweight, beautiful in gold, and capable of handling all of my projects. I take it everywhere I go, it is just the right size and weight.

I love the size and the weight, very lightweight to travel and to take to work. I love the rose gold color as well.

It’s portable, small, lightweight... battery last pretty long... it just doesn’t have enough ports and it doesn’t have any USB port because it uses USB-C port only... I’ve not been up to date with technology and so I can’t charge my phone with this laptop nor can I save things on my thumb drive...
