Great laptop, but prefer the M1 chip!

However from my research I would suggest you get the Air with the M1 chip as it is better in almost every aspect. The chip does make a difference. Regardless, my Intel Macbook works as expected for a low end model. I use it for browsing, editing documents, Zoom, etc. One thing to note, the Intel Macbook Air models do not support the virtual backgrounds for Zoom, only the M1 chip models.
