This was the first laptop since 2009 and it's incredible how things have changed. This laptop is super light, has an amazing display, and speakers perfect for music on the go. Not having typical usb connections is taking some getting used to but I've got an adapter on the way so that shouldn't be an issue much longer.

Ok, I'm going to approach this from the normal user. Yes, you will find the reviews and online stuff talking about the MacBook Air and even the Pro line isn't professional enough. Would I render my entire movie collection on this, no. But for the normal every day user doing internet, email, word processing, spreadsheets, you know professionals that hold the majority of jobs and students out there... this is a great laptop. The extra screen space over the 12 inch MacBook is a nice addition, the size and weight is easy to carry all day. Keyboard is very nice and responsive, and having the fingerprint reader is very helpful. This is the work truck of the Mac laptop lineup. Gets you where you need to go, can do most jobs fine, and doesn't require you to spend big bucks for something you don't really need.

We got this for my son for his high school graduation to use for college. I was concerned because it was not a MacBook Pro (but I could not afford a Pro) and I had heard mixed reviews on the MacBook Air and was considering a refurbished Pro. There was an older gentlemen that assisted me at the store and he was extremely knowledgeable on Apple products. Most of the reviews I had seen were on the older model Air and this was a newer model. He took a lot of time to explain to me the differences in the different models. I was able to make an informed decision that this should be sufficient for college and closer within my budget. I went with the lower storage of 128GB because there are so many other options for storage (external, cloud, etc) and that allowed me to save a little money. My son absolutely loves this computer and says that it is extremely fast. The only additional thing he has had to purchase is an adapter for usb ports, but other than that he is very happy with the performance of this computer for his needs.

I recently bought this laptop for my wife so she can use it for school and she absolutely loves it. It is very light and compact. Same screen size as the model before but overall size is smaller which is a plus. Screen display has also been upgraded and is very detailed. Overall this new model of the MacBook Air is worth the price/upgrade to pervious models.

This is my first MacBook and I am very pleased with it. Beautiful, simple design. Easy to setup and use. Very good battery life. Connects to my iPhone easily. Only downside is that there is no usb adaptor, must have a converter piece. Definitely get your money’s worth with this laptop

I was hesitant to investor much money in my new Mac as a disabled woman but I’m so happy with with the purchase. I did purchase Geek squad but I opted to go home and set it up myself and everything went so smooth compared to when I did a setup on my old HP computer years ago. I even went and setup my music and transferred documents from my HP to my Mac The Mac is so lightweight and easy to carry around in my little backpack especially since I have a back injury, anything heavy causes back pain and this doesn’t hurt to carry. Only cons are lack of USB ports on the newer model as I like to add a mouse so I had to buy the adapter for extra ports, but all in all I’m very pleased with my Mac for amount of space, ease of use and how lightweight it is. Best purchase I’ve made.

Good machine for it's time, but 128GB just isn't enough and Apple's price to go to a larger drive is CRAZY. This machine has been great and was good for it's time. But the new M1 Macbooks are way faster with better battery life

Besides the high-ish price, I think you get what you pay for. I’ve always preferred apple over any other brand specifically for laptop/computer. Absolutely stunning, the gold looks rose gold, amazing quality, fast, easy to use for apple users, perfect for college! Hasn’t failed to impress me at all. Now only con is it doesn’t come with the specific adapters since there is no USB which i was aware of, but it should come with it as much as a charger and headphones comes with a new iPhone, but that’s my honest opinion.

Love my MacBook Air. Love the color they also remodeled everything from the keyboard to the processor. It’s really light. The only thing is the C port now. So you have to buy the adapter which is kinda expensive. If your using a external hard drive. But I still love it.

Great laptop. The taper makes it feel thinner. The Retina display is beautiful with edge to edge glass. Having Touch ID is great feature for Apple Pay and logging in. MacBook Pro without touchbar doesn’t have Touch ID even. The gold color is stunning.

I was very nervous to go with a Macbook Air, after always having a PC or Windows laptop. I have an Iphone and Iwatch and decided streamlining all my electronics would just make more sense. I am more than pleased with the MacBook Air. The picture quality is phenomenal, The integration and ability to sync all of my devices and their information is so convenient, the TOUCH ID on the laptop is an imperative step for privacy, and my fingers adjusted the the keyboard pretty quickly. The lightness of the MBAir is so lovely. I can not express how wonderful it is to be able to type out my texting conversations as well, much nicer on a big screen and being able to type quickly. Remind me of the old AOL AIM days--Miss them! Very glad about my purchase, can not wait to start back at school and see how useful this MacBook will be for that.

My very first Mac Book and I love it. I am still trying to get use to this operating system since Ive always owned a Samsung Laptop. Its sleek and lightweight, and the processor has a decent speed for me to search the web and do homework.

This is my 3rd MacBook Air that I’ve bought for various members of my family since 2015 this one is NOT for a student if you have a student I would choose the the 256GB model but for the gal I got this for (and most people) 128GB is fine... So what’s better? The SSD is much faster since 2015 the display is much better the processor (meh) is a little bit faster than my daughters 2017 model but not much, this model has a premium, modern look to it unlike the previous generation, the track pad is huge and has force touch, the T2 chip lets to do Apple Pay and unlock with a fingerprint, the USB-C... well that will take some getting used to losing ALL the legacy ports and stuff but you know... it’s the future I do like it’s easy to add a eGPU and external display via thunderbolt 3... great MacBook!!!

This laptop is very light and thin. I can use it in bed and just have it on my lap. Great for simple task such as light photoshopping and emails. Highly recommend this over the pro due to its lightness and portability.

I was hesitant to buy a mac even though I am familiar and own a iPhone and iPad. I was using my hp Inspiron from 2010 and finally decided to upgrade. Boy am I glad I did! It’s so light, so fast, and very sleek looking.
